Fall of Yugoslavia Tour -- While the wartime sites we visited were powerful, in and of their own, their historical and cultural significance would not have have been fully appreciated without the honest, sincere, and equally powerful anecdotes and vignettes from our guide, Almir. A veteran of the 90’s war, Almir shared his personal struggles, stories of lost friends, and the physical and psychological battles his people endured to ensure they avoided genocide and the full extermination of their people. The tour is great but Almir is what makes the experience exceptional! One can say that Almir himself IS THE TOUR! Highly recommended if you want to hear about this heavy yet enlightening past of Bosnia! MBT, be sure to keep and retain Almir for the long term. He is a gem!
