Morning trip to the NaPali coast with Shawn and Kai. Wonderful trip on a new boat with knowledge and fun guides. Loved Shawn's choice of music as the situation arised. You won’t regret the trip. Safe and responsible.

We had a great time with Tim as our captain. Water was a little rough but we were prepared with patches and Dramamine and felt perfectly fine. We saw Dolphins 3 different times— so cool! Unfortunately, we were a little early for whale sightings and we didn’t get lucky to see the few that have already migrated. Highly recommend booking with Makana tours!

It was a fun experience!! The choppy waves and being able to stand and experience the view was nice. The workers there were very friendly and funny. We were definitely entertained throughout the whole boat tour. We also got to see whales!! They took pictures of us and offered sandwiches and drinks. We stopped at certain points to get pictures with our phones. The waves do hit you so make sure u are wearing a bathing suit and an overall. It gets slightly cold on the way back so keep that in mind for whoever is wondering(:

Fantastic experience overall. Great communication from the staff when my booking had to be changed, and a lovely team onboard who were all so generous with sharing information (even including an awesome sushi recommendation--thanks, Liliana!), competent, professional, and friendly. The boat itself was extremely comfortable and fun, and the views were jaw-dropping. To top it all off, we even got to see a pod of spinner dolphins and two bottlenose dolphins -- incredible! Pricey but worth every penny for us. One of our top three favorite experiences on our trip to Kauai. Thank you!

The boat trip was a highlight of our trip to Hawaii! Captain Makena handled the boat with amazing skill and the crew made us feel safe, welcome and gave us interesting conversation and education. The Na'Pali coast was a delight but made even more enjoyable by the attentive and humorous Amelia Kay crew. Definite 5 star experience and highly recommended!!! .

These guys are absolute Pros. Best in the business. Our captain took us to all of the dolphin-filled waters, Majestic sea caves - for which he backed the entire vessel into without touching a single wall - and offered an excellent historical and cultural detail of the island and it's people.

This was amazing! The crew was so informative, fun and helpful. Had a blast snorkeling and the views were spectacular. Saw hundreds of dolphins. The crew allowed us to sit on the front with our legs dangling so the dolphins were just a few feet away. Amazing! Lunch was yummy. Worth every penny.
