Amazing tour with Captain Mike, Uncle Lionel, Charlie & Lyla on the Amelia K. Very knowledgeable crew and was the best experience for my son and grand-daughter for their first time down the Na Pali Coast. Would highly recommend Makana Charters to others! Mahalo Cuzin Mike for the best day

Awesome experience! The crew made it truly amazing and were so kind, especially Lionel! They were always checking on everyone to see if anyone needed anything from water to soda or photos or even to help them get better views of the beautiful Napali Coast! Every single minute of it was amazing! The entire coast was beautiful and so green and the crew even stopped the boat so we can view a large pod of dolphins! Truly a 10/10 experience!

Crew was top tier & best in class experience!! I unexpectedly got sea sick - which never has happened to me before & I was quite surprised as I grew up on a lake with many boat rides. Lionel was seriously a life saver & provided extra care & checked on me every 15-20 mins. He knew all the tips & tricks to keep me from needing a hurl bag. He even offered to take me back earlier, as an option. And the tour was seriously the highlight of our trip! I will definitely be recommending this charter to anyone planning a trip to Kauai. Best in class & well worth the price!

Captain Rhianna and Jay were awesome and made sure everyone was taken care of. Everyone had a great time while making sure we were all safe. I went to the wrong location that I booked and Makana accommodated me. I was able to take the tour from that location. Makana recommended a taxi service to use from the cruise ship, Dave’s Taxi Service. Dave was also awesome. We had extra time on the way to the tour so Dave gave me a mini tour of the island which included a stop at the canyon. Overall a great experience. Highly recommended.

Did a private charter on the Seiko 1 with Captain A’alona and Jaimie yesterday…what an AMAZING day and what AWESOME ppl! Highly recommend this trip and this crew! The Napali coast is just unmatched in beauty and hearing about Kauai from two people who know it so well, (and genuinely love it), made it even more spectacular. Thanks for a GREAT day! DO NOT MISS THIS EXPERIENCE! I did so much research, trying to figure out which company to go with and I was not sorry for one minute. We felt like we were in great hands from start to finish!

We had an awesome trip on the Seiko 1 with Captain A-A and Kaiao! We went on the larger Catamaran cruises before, but this trip allowed us to get into the caves and travel at a faster clip than those other more-commercial drink-off boats. We brought our 12 year old daughter Elsa with us, and she had a great time, so we can definitely recommend this cruise as being family-friendly, safe, and fun!

Captain Tim, Kaiao and Nikki took us on the Na Pali Kai III and this ended up being an experience of a lifetime and I'm dead serious. We saw spinner and bottlenose dolphins, sea turtles, all kinds of fish, inside sea caves, and a ton of history and beauty of the Na Pali coast. The weather cooperated as well which just made it perfect. Would do this 100x more.

Cap. Kana and Lionel were great and super attentive. The tour and boat ride (Leialoha) was amazing and pretty fun. Learned a bit of history on the Nā Pali Coast and saw some spinner dolphins. Lunch and drinks were provided, and I dont know if the snorkeling made me hungry, but the roast beef sandwich was pretty good. All in all, the experience was worth it and will definitely come back. Saw dolphins, baby dolphins, sea lions, turtles, goats, and lots of fishes! Loved every single moment of this tour!!! The Captain and crew were absolutely top‑notch—first‑class in their service, their storytelling, and the way they kept us learning and oohing and aahing the whole time. You can feel how deeply they love and respect Kauai’s breathtaking creations and the incredible creatures that call it home. Just a fantastic experience all around. Captain Shawn and Kaiao from Makana Charters were amazing. Incredibly professional, knowledgeable and just plain fun. Great guys really took care of everyone and made sure we all had a great time. They were very vigilant and patient for the snorkeling part and made sure they watched everyone on the water and always felt 100% safe. Was the highlight of our trip - couldn’t recommend them any more!!! Mahalo to the team at Makana
