Amazing experience! Definitely a highlight of our trip. Tony, Kana, and our captain were all awesome tour guides and shared tons of history about the island. They took us to tons of cool spots, we saw lots of wildlife, and had a chance to swim. The boat ride was very comfortable and we felt safe the entire time. They also gave us great recommendations for things to do around the island. The crew was super friendly and they made you feel right at home! It was an incredible 5 hours and a great way to see the coast!

This was an amazing and very informative tour! Into caves and close up waterfall views. The cave that we went under the waterfall was exciting. I would rate at 4.5 simply because entry into the water for snorkeling was not a stair walk down for easy entry and exit. On the Amelia boat it was a platform about 3-4 feet above the water that you have to jump in. It's my fault for not checking ahead of time. I am a senior with a bad knee so this was a challenge, but since I love to snorkel I wasn't going to let it stop me. It wasn't pretty getting in, but I did it.

Captain Mike and the crew were excellent. It was a fun trip. We saw dolphins along side the boat and a whale in the distance. Na Pali coast is gorgeous. We went under a waterfall and got soaked, which was great since it was so hot out. Very organized company. I would definitely recommend them!

Despite the gloomy weather, the crew amongst the Amelia K went above and beyond to ensure we had the experience of a life time. While Ethan, Kaiao, and Capt Sean had no control over “mama ocean” and the weather, they had all the control in ensuring we were still filled with a vast amount of knowledge about the island and the history it holds. There wasn’t a question that was left unanswered. We spent a significant amount of time talking with Ethan and despite his age, he was informative, full of knowledge, and engaging the patrons in activities. My daughter, my son and myself truly appreciated the chance to jump in the open waters despite the inability to snorkel due to the murky waters of the storm. Thank you to the crew for keeping us safe, informed, educated, and excited trough-out our 5 hours in their care. We had pleasantly surprised visits from lingering whales despite the ending of whale season passing. It was quite the adventure. I highly recommend this tour and crew. You will not be disappointed.

We loved the tour! 10/10. Captain was hilarious. We loved the boat. My daughter who gets sea sick was fine and not sick at all. The weather was perfect. Views are spectacular. We saw dolphins and whales!! Grateful for amazing opportunities to see the beautiful mountains of Napali. Crew ladies did good job. Wonderful experience!!! The captain lets us swim with whales.

Captain Makana and his crew were amazing. This tour is definitely worth the money. I got an up close look of the NaPali coast. We went inside some of the cave areas and I felt completely safe. They were knowledgeable, interacted well with everyone and were fun to be with. I’lol book again when I return. ***PSA, book directly from the company, not a 3rd party. Their info isn’t always up to date, but the company info is.

What a wonderful tour! The whole experience was incredible! It was easy to find the check in and parking location at port Allen. The boat was great and the crew were lovely. We were lucky enough to have dolphins swim with the boat (which they usually don’t do). We also spotted a few humpback whales. The coastline was beautiful, nothing can compare. The entire time the crew and the captain were giving great knowledge about the history and culture of the area. They provided lunch and a brief opportunity to swim. The tour wrapped up right around 4.5 hours on the water which felt like the perfect amount of time for such a beautiful trip. Overall the highlight of our visit to Hawaii! Highly highly recommend!

This was our third trip having new friends with us on Kauai and our first time with Makana charters. It was by far our very favorite experience. The boat is awesome, comfortable, and safe. The crew was very knowledgeable, polite and told many stories and pointed out just how incredibly this part of Kauai is. We saw whales, spinner dolphins and many sea birds along with the beautiful coast. My adult kids had a ball and can't quit talking about everything we experienced Will be back soon!! Brad Barger
