🌺 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 – Incredible Nā Pali Coast Experience! Booking with Makana Charters was super easy, and communication before the trip was excellent. Check-in was quick and hassle-free, setting the tone for an amazing day ahead. Our captain and crew were fantastic — friendly, fun, and very knowledgeable. They made sure everyone felt safe and comfortable while keeping the mood light and enjoyable throughout the tour. The Nā Pali Coast was absolutely breathtaking. We saw dolphins, explored sea caves, and enjoyed a great snorkeling stop — definitely one of the highlights! Drinks were available throughout the trip, and lunch was provided, which made everything even better. Every moment was memorable, and I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Kauaʻi. It’s truly a must-do experience!

Makana and his crew Uncle Tony and Rhi were amazing! They were all so friendly, knowledgeable and just overall wonderful. They were so engaging with all of us visitors on the charter. We saw unbelievable sights and even stopped to swim in the middle of the ocean. Only thing I’d say is definitely bring some Dramamine or anti nausea even if you don’t think you’ll get sick! Definitely needed that. Otherwise, it was 10/10 worth it!

This was the highlight of our trip to Hawaii! We did the tour on the Amelia K with Captain Makana, and his crew, Ethan and Kana. It was such a great experience. The crew was lively and fun, and the experience was educational. We saw bottlenose dolphins, spinner dolphins, and a monk seal. We saw so much of the coast and even went into a few caves. The views were unbelievable and it was enriching to learn about the local history and culture associated with the beautiful land. The crew clearly has so much pride in their culture and land and it was such a treat to be able to admire that for an afternoon. It doesn't matter which side of the boat you choose to sit on, at all stops they turn the boat so each side can enjoy the view. I am very often a victim of motion sickness so I expected the worst, but I was completely fine. I took dramamine in the morning and had a light breakfast and skipped coffee. The only part of the trip which was a bit disorienting was the break we took for lunch, at which point the boat stopped and many people went swimming. The boat was rocking quite a bit and a few people who stayed on board got seasick. However, the crew was very quick to step in and take care of the ill passengers. Once we started moving again, everyone was fine. The ride back was choppy which actually made it SO fun, the playlist was great and Ethan has an awesome singing voice. Also, when we were at lunch, Captain Makana jumped in the ocean to go spear fishing, and caught a fish within moments. It was so beyond impressive. This trip was truly incredible, I'd recommend it to anyone. Thank you, Makana Charters!!!

Such an incredible trip. Lili, Lionel and Captain Shawn were amazing. They were super helpful and knowledgeable. We saw so many dolphins and incredible views of the Na Pali coast. We plan on doing it again next time we come back.

Best time ever! Even with the sea sickness the captain and crew made sure that we were all having a great time and a great experience!! Seeing and hearing about the culture of the island was very moving and I loved hearing the stories from the crew who grew up here and how they view the island! Just amazing all around! And some pretty damn good sandwiches!!

Our captain was amazing! We had really choppy water that day and a lot of us got pretty sea sick, but the sights were amazing and seeing dolphins made it all worth it!

My husband loved the tour, I was mostly nervous the entire time. Even though it was a relatively "calm" day on the ocean it wasn't the best tour for me personally, as I am not a thrill seeker - too wavy and bumpy for me. The staff was GREAT!!! They kept us safe, they were very entertaining and friendly. The views were beautiful. If you are more of a thrill seeker and like roller coaster rides, etc. you would love this tour and the company.

We had a fantastic boat cruise to the Na Pali coast. Captain Rob and his crew were excellent with lots of fun and facts about the history, culture, and beauty of the coast, as well as Kauai. We saw spinning dolphins, and poked our nose into the cave too. We had strong winds and didn’t get to the very end of the coast, but Captain Rob took us to a special reef to do some snorkeling in a more protected cove. Overall, highly recommended to anyone wanting to explore the beautiful north coast of Kauai.

We absolutely loved Makana tours and would absolutely recommend this on any day for a tour of the Nepali coast. Our tour guides were super professional, and we understood a lot about it history and took us too many spots we were able to both swim and see schools of dolphins and go through many of the caves and see other parts, which were absolutely amazing! It was five stars.

Our group of 7 lovely ladies really enjoyed the professionalism of this tour. We were safe, entertained, informed and amused by the the playlist. We truely were immersed in a National Geographic tour.
