This was a dream charter. Being a retired Navy diver, I have been around boats most of my adult life and I can say our pilot/captain definitely knew how to handle the Amelia K. He took us on an exciting tour navigating close to cliff walls, tight spaces inside caves, dodging sea turtles and gently drifting near spinner dolphins. Our guides were very knowledgeable about the history and topography of the Na’ Pali Coast. Their love for their culture and enthusiasm towards their patrons shined through. I’d love to repeat this charter the next time I visit Kauai.

Captain Rhi and Jay were amazing! We had another tour booked with a different company before we decided to reserve with Makana Charters and we are so happy that we cancelled it and went with Makana! We booked the Leialoha boat and not only did we end up with the best crew, we got the BEST boat! Cpt. Rhi ripped through the waves like a boss! It was soooo fun, safe, friendly, welcoming and the views were epic! We did so much research before booking this tour so I'm here to tell you, look no further, book the Leialoha with Makana; you are in for one of the very best days of your vacation!!

Captain Makana did an outstanding job navigating and getting us around safely, which made the entire experience even more enjoyable and relaxing. An amazing experience; one that we will not forget. It wasn’t just the breathtaking view of the Na Pali coastline, but the history told by Charlie and Kaiao, as well as the personal attention we received from Captain Tim. We had the most epic day with Makenna Charters! I've been on several catamaran cruises up the Napali, but this one took the cake. Being on a smaller catamaran, we were able to get up close and personal with the rock faces and sea caves. Captain Tim took his time and made the experience amazing. The highlights of our trip were getting drenched by a sea cave waterfall, seeing several pods of dolphins in the afternoon, being completely surrounded by fish while snorkeling, and riding some huge swells on the return trip catching air in the front rows. This was the highlight of our honeymoon, thank you Captain Tim, Charlie, and Kauai for an incredible experience we will never forget!

These guys were great. Captain A’alona and his grown son Kaiao were fun, yet very careful for everyone’s wellbeing. The captain found some Spinner Dolphins and worked to ensure everyone got a chance to fee them up close. The Captain has extensive knowledge of the coast and shares it during the trip. His son Kaiao also was able to explain the history and the current activities we could see. They did a good job getting everyone involved even those concerned about snorkeling. Two young ladies thanked them afterward for encouraging them into the water. Well worth the money and time. Will do it again next time we come to Kauai.

We had an amazing tour with Makana Charters! Captain Rob and crew were all awesome hosts and guides! Being able to go into the caves was simply magical and the coastline is really breathtaking! They also picked out an amazing snorkeling spot with clear, calm waters filled with lots of fish. 5 stars from the whole family- 2 adults and 2 older teenagers 😀

The Nā Pali Coast tour aboard the Amelia K was absolutely incredible! It was even better than my family and I expected. Everything was extremely well organized, the crew was friendly, professional, and made the entire experience unforgettable. Would recommend this over and over again regardless if you are visiting Kauai for the first time or 50th time!! You get to see so much of the Kauai shoreline before you even get to Napali coast. We ended up seeing some dolphins, a turtle, and a blowfish which was the cherry on top. But the best part of the tour was the captain and crew- they were AMAZING!!!
