Boat ride was very enjoyable and at a pace that didn’t bounce you around the whole. The crew were friendly and knowledgeable and had good historical information about local traditions and exploring the Nepali Coastline.

The day was beautiful. Water was murky so not so great Snorkel conditions. I enjoyed the Hawaiian music and historical and cultural tid bits that were shared. The boys had a blast jumping off the roof of the boat. My favorite was seeing the spinner dolphins. All around amazing experience. We saw goats on the mountains and seal on the beach.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you’re looking for a boat tour where you get breathtaking views of Kauai, make unforgettable memories, and get wetter than you planned on a first date… THIS IS THE ONE! 😂🌊🤣 The scenery was absolutely incredible, the crew was awesome, and the adventure was worth every second. We laughed, got soaked, and learned real quick that the ocean does NOT give a damn about your hair or personal space! 😂 Forget the shower when you get back to the hotel. This tour takes care of that for you… fully clothed and against your will. 🤣🤣 10/10 would recommend! Just bring your sense of adventure, leave your expectations of staying dry and prepare to get your money’s worth in saltwater. Thanks Tim and Ethan, we had a great time.

20/10. my first time doing anything like this and i’m so happy i got to experience it with not only my best friend but with makana charters. the crew, captain mike and elijah did a wonderful job. showing us around the most beautiful places while teaching us the history behind them. 10/10 would do this trip again in a heart beat. please go, please. you’ll regret it if you don’t.

Best experience I could have asked for! Mike and Lionel graciously shared stories of their home, history and culture. They were attentive to those of us who got sea sick and never made us bad about it. The lunch was just what we needed for a midday pick me up and drinks provided we’re excellent. Swimming in the ocean next to the Na Pali Cost was a memory I will never forget! The dolphins jumping all around us were the best surprise, we truly couldn’t have asked for better people to guide us on this epic honeymoon journey. We will 100% be back and I will forever ask for Mike and Lionel 💛

Went on a Na'pali coast tour with my family during the first week of Oct, and had a great time! We were on a small boat, the Seiko, and Captain A'a' and his son Kai'ao were fantastic. They were funny, kind, and knowledgeable. We loved hearing stories of their lives growing up on the island. The coast is of course beautiful, but the tour experience was truly made by the crew! They took care of anyone who was seasick or needed other assistance, answered any questions, and made sure everyone was safe and comfortable. I would 100% recommend to book Makana Charters and request them by name!

Amazing tour of the Na pali coast ! The Capn Roy , Leroy and Jasmine were wonderful!! We all felt comfortable and loved seeing the dolphins!

Captain A’alona and Ethan were fantastic! They provided a safe, fun environment for all onboard. The captain did a great job backing into sea caves and giving history of the area. Ethan took lots of pictures and happily gave sea sickness avoidance tips and moved seats so people could have shade. Highly recommend this experience and this crew in particular on the 16 seat catamaran. Lots of fun and would do again.

What a fun trip! A'a was an EXCEPTIONAL captain and did a great job tailoring our trip to the conditions that day. (too rough for snorkeling or to get in the caves). He was able to get the boat into some CRAZY crevices and had wonderful stories to share. He and Lilianna were very friendly and I'd recommend them highly. Great job going with the flow.

Kaiao and Shawn gave us detailed info using their extensive knowledge with plenty of humor on what to expect for the day. They showed us the most beautiful coastline, stopped for dolphin watching which was amazing, got us right inside the caves, all while talking about Kauai’s history. We had time to swim and jump from the roof of the boat. The excursion will be a lifelong memory!
