This was our first time experiencing a Legoland. We took our 5 year old son. It is very likely a one and done experience. He had a good time, but it isn’t something we would choose for him to do again. The “cafe” is very lacking and overpriced which you would probably expect. We were there for hours. We got hungry. I thought there was a rule that no food or drinks can come in .. but people had their own snacks and drinks. They are wiser than us. The staff was fine. All very young people that I doubt have the confidence to enforce anything like the snack/drink rule. We were in line for the train/shooting gun ride .. there is a sign stating the height requirement which my son clearly did not reach .. it also stated that it was a spooky ride as a warning .. so, we left the line. Later we returned because my husband wanted us to try it again and there was no line this time. The woman running the ride said “if they can walk they can ride” and guess what? The ride is not spooky .. at all .. just wanted to share that with any overly cautious moms like me. We bought the full package tickets that included Sea Life .. Ranger pack (at Sea Life) and Minifigure. I think Digital photos too .. Do not waste your money on all of it. Just go to Legoland. I went all out because it was our first time and our son’s birthday. I did not know what anything was .. Sea Life is mostly a bunch of fish. Save your money! Rush those kids right through the gift store @ Legoland too lol. Also, there is a set time for the train ride and the movie showings .. both short experiences .. but, make sure you know the times right away to plan out your day. I think the highlight for us was the digital photos to remember our time together. It was chilly in there! Glad I was wearing a sweatshirt. Thank you.

I was surprised at how clean they kept the place considering kids are touching everything. My daughter had a great time as well. Having said that, the staff's behavior was not great. We bought our tickets in advance and we went to the check in and no one even acknowledged us for a while even though a few employees walked right past without even glancing in our direction. Then, another employee inside was rude and sarcastic when I asked a question. Beyond that, no one really was really polite to us at all .. maybe neutral at best, which would have been fine if we didn't get such bad vibes from the start. I also feel like there needs to be another price tier. My daughter was over 2 but not tall enough for a few of the attractions. It's frustrating to have paid full price when we couldn't get the full experience - but that's how it is sometimes. Overall we had a good time but it really started out rough with the poor customer service.

This is located in the wood field mall area. Parking is not a problem. Once you enter, they have a lot of exhibits of the buildings that you would find in Chicago Downtown. On one side, they have some games on display. As you go in, you will find some animals on display like Tiger, Snakes, Crocodile to name a few. And once you finish that, you can do the VR for an additional cost (minimum 40 inches) and there is a Train that will go slow for a couple of minutes showcasing some characters. You get to shoot some of them with a toy gun. And then, you can go upstairs where you can build some legos, watch a movie for about 15-20 minutes and then spend some time in the Play Area out there. Overall, you can spend about 2 hours but I dont think 27 bucks is worth it.

I brought my family here for my son's 10th birthday. We had an amazing time! Every attendant was helpful and energetic. The lines weren't too long for the rides. Very clean, and well kept. My 12, 11, & 10 year old had a blast.

I have 4 boys ages 3 to 12 and they all love it here. My oldest doesn’t love to come as often as my younger boys but we come about once a month. My kids love to trade mini figs with employees, enjoy the creative workshop, check out the mini land, watch the 4D movie and play with legos.

Play at your own risk… lol This place is amazing and fun for the kids. Not much seating for adults. They also have an area where they challenge the kiddos to contest and such. There is an eatery there but not much to offer (chips, pretzels, some desserts, and drinks) I would bring a lunch if possible. They didn’t seem to be upset when some people brought in outside food (homemade sandwich’s). Once you check in; you’re in so if you plan to stay for a while bring food and snacks in with you. Bc if you leave to go to the food court or the car for your food. You are going to pay to go back inside. The Philadelphia display is cool, they show it in the light and nighttime scape. There’s a ninja game (?), so many areas for the kids to build and play. The VR game is a separate charge, and the ride game is a separate charge. The lanyard is a separate charge (our kiddos were not interested in them) they have challenges in them and you can go around and collect stamps. There is a large jungle gym in the shape of a Lego boat for them to play on. All in all good experience for the kiddos to play.
