Very cute and fun experience for all ages. I loved seeing the Lego model of Chicago. The nod to the Blues Brothers, Batman, and the Ghostbusters was so cute. The attention to every detail is amazing. My daughter loved the pirate ship area and the ride. The Lego store at the end has a lot of different options to purchase.

We got off the plane from Colorado and went from the O'Hare to Legoland Discovery Center and it was perfect for my 7yro and 13yro sons plus my wife and I to stimulate senses and get engaged into the vacation. What fun starting with a roller coaster VR ride then a mist-tastic 4D show that will have you reaching out to touch a bird. Quick trolley tour that you use a laser to shot objects that give you a score at the end is brilliant. Then they have a builders sections for the creative process and yes they needed to update and add more pieces but thats miniscule. The knowledge the staff had with the digital arts and media was helpful and engaging. 7yro had fun running around the pirate ship jungle gym not all sections were open Bcuz we were sold 3pm to 5pm tickets wit the 2pm unavailable so that could be better Bcuz we did need another hour and a half to shop and get more of my money but business's in Illinois seem to be in a serious rush to close at 5pm?? Chicago and surrounding areas is a major city right then why so early?Appreciate the staff turning on the camera machine at the 5pm push out to get our full package ordered online which I recommend a true value my 7yro gets to show and tell his classmates with his activity pack lanyard, figurine, and if only we had time wouldve been wearing a sweater+shirt+glasses+hat+some builder sets but until next time.... Praying that LEGOLAND Discovery Center expands west to Colorado where our state song is "Everything is Awesome!"

Field Trip Review - wait time for lines inside are beyond long. I've waited less time in lines for roller coasters at Disney. if you’re going as a family make sure it’s not when they have field trips. Our school brought all first grade classes, arriving at 10 AM, Tuesday in May. There were three OTHER school groups also for field trip at the same time (other ISDs). The process to enter Legoland was undirected by their staff. Our school was lucky I think we were the first to enter. It probably took a half hour to start filing other schools into Legoland. The only line that moves at a reasonable pace once in is the 'Rescue the princess', laser/shooting ride. We were among the first 50-100 kids to enter so we didn’t have to wait much at all for that, and people did say throughout the day that that line continued to move the fastest of the attractions. after that, we tried to get them into the 4D movie, but it was broken. So they spent some time playing in the play place. (think McDonald’s play structure but a bit larger). After that, they wanted to go on one of the other rides. So I stood in line for the ride that you pedal on and it spins you around and you go up and down. I waited in line for 30-40 minutes to try and get the group of two I was chaperoning onto that ride; while they played with the Lego construction areas within eyesight.(Racecar building). FORTY. MINUTES!.... The kids exhausted their creativity waiting in that area, but I still had AT LEAST an additional HOUR WAIT to get to the front of the line for them. (wait time confirmed by another parent from our group who did stick it out.) They were hungry for lunch, so I told them to go into the cafeteria and sit at tables and eat their sack lunches because I was able to see them through the window from line. Unfortunately, its completely not friendly for field trips (they know kids will be coming with sack lunches) and they do not allow them to eat the food they bring in their cafeteria area .(they say it’s because health codes forbid it but there’s no way that’s true). They have no space indoors for this at all. They were not losing business to people would theoretically have been trying to order their own food because they didn’t have tables. There was room. And no one wanted to buy their food anyway because EVERYONE there was field trips. They do usually provide seating outdoors which the kids could have used to eat, but they had it blocked off and inaccessible because it was a rainy day. Their 'solution' was to tell us to take the kids down through the mall to the food court. Pass. At that point, someone came running throughout Legoland hollering at everyone that they got the movie working and they would be starting a showing in 19 seconds ... OK... So a hoard of people rushed over there, (including us because we were giving up on the ridiculous ride line). Folks in front of us generally kept their place waiting. The theater got packed. There was not enough seating for everyone who wanted to be in there. The front row of seats all are missing cushions on the plastic seat shells. The kids laughed a ton, enjoying the whole movie. There’s a car driving ride in the back, but that line moves at least as slowly as the up-and-down spinning ride. So by the time the movie got out, we didn’t even have enough time left in the field trip for the kids to sit there and wait to get to use that attraction. They ended up spending the remainder of their time in the play place. I will say: the kids had fun. It was generally a success for them in their first grade POV. I kept my disgruntlement to myself. But, I strongly feel it's very inappropriate of Legoland to oversell their facility by that amount. I wouldn’t be surprised if they were in excess of fire code capacity violations. I know some chaperone groups did get lucky (or strategize better) and were able to get their kids on more than one attraction, but most I’m guessing did not. The oldest field trip group present was third graders. The youngest I think was kindergartners.

not completely there fault but, tried to take my bf here for his birthday. go city allows anyone too book passes for this location. U fortunately you can’t go in without a child? We even said it was his birthday and they couldn’t make an exception or any compensation since it was through go city. The pictures of the center have many areas adults would enjoy and i believe you all should consider a change in rules. I literally wanted to cry he was so disappointed. As people who haven’t spend thousands on our lego collection this was so disappointing. Sincerely lego insider #800997647

The Legoland displays are just AMAZING! The Lego Master was the COOLEST guy there, very friendly, smiling, and kind, and he let our grandson (who would LOVE to be a Lego Master!) get a photo with him. BUT - the REST of the many staff that we interacted with were actually kind of rude, they were all very short on smiles, and seemed just generally unfriendly. It really kind of made the whole experience less fun than we expected :( I get that working around kids all day, every day, can get tiresome - but isn’t that what they signed on to do? Give a cool experience to kids that wait months to visit?) The ONLY other person who was kind and helpful was the gift store cashier with the colorful hair! She was pretty cool. Not so much any of the other staff. God forbid you ask a question! Like where can we buy some of the specialty legos like the mountain goat? “Not here” was the actual answer from a staff member on the floor. :/ So disappointing when the actual displays and play areas are so awesome.

Took my 9 yr old. He enjoyed it and would probably rate it higher. However, as the person who paid $70 for the two of us I was underwhelmed. PROS: Rides were enjoyable enough, though short. Employees were very kind- especially the man who ran both the 4D cinema and the VR experience. My son wanted to watch the Ninjago film, but it had already been shown. He was able to get it played for us sooner than the rotation would naturally allow. My son loves the LEGO mosaic activity CONS: There are only a handful of things to do besides playing with Legos (which we can do at home). There were 3 rides that are all of a minute in length. There is a playground, but I don't make it a habit to pay $70 for a trip to a playground. There is a very cool Ninjago Dojo, unfortunately some of its features were not working. We waited almost our entire visit for someone to fix the Ninjago Dojo (we asked an employee), but it never was fixed.
