If I had read this review before going, I would have spent my $60 on actual LEGO. With the exception of our Creative Club experience, I was very disappointed with our first visit to the Boston LEGO Discovery Center. We walked into a ghost town and I had to search to find out if the ride was working. Towards the back of the venue there were four employees huddled around a sorting table. They either didn't notice my presence or didn't care because after waiting far too long, I had to interrupt their conversation. No info was provided about the short film that would be starting soon or any other activities. I had to find out on my own that a schedule is posted on a tv screen as you walk in. I must have missed it looking for signs of human life. The Mini World was dirty and in disrepair. The figs and builds in the center display had such a thick layer of dust, they were literally furry. Figs and traffic lights were also toppled throughout. The DUPLO area had a dangerous tripping hazard for children. Tape that was meant to secure a thick cord crossing a walkway was mostly undone. The black panel covering the cord was 1-2" off the floor with a visible gap underneath. The carousel was also visibly dirty and in disrepair. Additionally, parts for the Activity Pack duck build were nowhere to be found in the DUPLO area. We were the only ones there, and I searched all of the bins thoroughly. When we were ready to go on the ride, no employees were anywhere to be found. After a few minutes, a café employee walked in and said he would get someone. Several minutes later, two employees showed up. I had to stop them to ask about the ride because they had not been notified. After the ride, my child asked to go again. Even though we were the only ones there, the two employees made us exit the ride, walk around to the front and come back up the entry ramp. Why? This was a ridiculous request and slightly infuriating. Even though we sat in the same car for our second ride, the laser gun on my child's side was now broken. I gave her mine and notified the employees at the end of the ride. They responded with blank stares. That sums up my experience. Blank stare.

Our boys are 3 & 5 and our visit to Legoland sparked their new found love of building with Lego. Lots of things to do for different age ranges but probably max age would be 8-10. All of the different areas kept our kids completely entertained for the entire 4 hours we were there. We didn't have to peel them away so they definitely experienced everything that they wanted to. We didn't get around to the Lego class because of the boys ages and there were a few birthday parties going on, however, it was absolutely great that it wasn't teeming with people and you could still keep an eye on your kids when they were excited to move on to the next area and ran ahead. I was actually surprised when we left and it was posted that they were not admitting any more people because it was at capacity. We bought our tickets online ahead of time. They weren't strict with the time of entrance - we were there about an hour before our ticket time and they let us right in. We will definitely make the trip again.

This one has a wonderful looking splash pad outside but it was closed during our visit for seasonal reasons. The inside was entertaining but smaller than the ones in San Antonio and Atlanta.

LEGOLAND Discovery Centre has been on our to-do list for a while now, and we finally visited it! We were not disappointed. First, we were surprised by how big it was, considering it’s part of the mall. Second, there were so many activities to choose from. The admission includes a laser shooting ride, a jump around ride, four rotating 4D short films, a large play structure with slides, and many Lego stations. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit!
