John B is an excellent driver and tour guide. The ride was smooth and our family learned a ton from John. The stops were well spaced out and all were enjoyable despite the very wet weather. The entire trip was very efficiently run to get the most out of the day without feeling rushed.

I really didn’t care for Lally tours. The sites were beautiful but the tour guide was not friendly nor informative. Not .

Great tour!

This was a small tour (30 people) Seamus was our driver and guide and was EXCELLENT!! He was knowledgeable, friendly and also played lovely Irish music along the way. There was just enough time to do everything along the way too.

John B. was the absolute BEST guide you could have! He was incredibly knowledgeable and so kind - thought of every detail he could to make everyone's experience memorable. Our tour touched on 4 different great spots in/near Galway. The Cliffs of Moher were AWESOME! Even though it was quite rainy, we had a great time and were stunned by the view. I would definitely take a tour with John B. and Lally Tours again. 10/10 experience :)

The tour is really beautiful as well as the stops during it. The guide descriptions were almost perfect, as detailed but never too annoying. Suggestions for improvement are: to specify at the beginning of the tour how many groups are on the bus and of there are different destinations, to avoid misunderatandings; to allow 1 hour more at Diamond Hill for a more relaxing hike to the upper hill and tò enjoy more the landscapes.

Notre guide Seamus a été top tout au long de l’excursion. Entre musique traditionnelle et anecdotes du pays, nous avons passé un agréable trajet. Nous avons choisi de faire la randonnée rouge à Diamond Hill (faisable en 2h mais sans pause). Les paysages que l’on traverse sont à couper le souffle. De nombreuses pauses sont d’ailleurs organisées pour nous laisser le temps de prendre des photos, boire un café… Nous recommandons à 100% cette excursion.

Great experience

Despite the heavy rains, the experience of driving through the Connemara and seeing the Kylemore Abbey was spectacular.

Lovely day trip

We were staying at The Ardilaun Hotel (highly recommend) and decided last minute to go for a road trip, it was such a lovely drive out to Connemara and once we got to Kylemore abbey we were delighted to see it wasn't overly busy, there were tour buses but plenty of room for everyone. The gardens are just stunning, and we enjoyed a lovely walk around the abbey and grounds. Staff were very friendly and we would return again, maybe in the summertime when the weather is a little better

Unforgettable and Stunning

We had a wonderful time exploring the castle, exploring the hills of Connemara, meeting Joe, the sheep herder, and his crew of incredible border collies (with puppies!), ate a delicious Irish lunch, and explored the charming little villages a long the way. Our favorite part was getting the inside scoop from the tour guides at the castle and seeing the Connemara mountains gushing with water and covered with sheep. Michael, our driver and guide, was very knowledgeable and sweet, always making sure we were comfortable.

We spent a remarkable day on our tour with Seamus out to Kylemore Abbey. His commentary added a lot of interest to our trip. Not knowing much Irish history, we would not have understood the significance of what we were seeing without his help. Generally, I am a great fan of just tootling around on my own, but, in this case, I would definitely riding with Seamus.

John was a wonderful driver and guide for the entire 'Cliffs of Moher' guided tour from Galway. The bus was very comfortable and the planned itinerary was spot-on! (Incl. restroom breaks, food/coffee, photo stops, etc.) I would definitely recommend booking a guided tour with Lally Tours. We also got a discount on the Ailwee Caves tour (€10 for a usually €27 priced tour!) Despite the grim weather, John ensured we all had a great day. Appreciate John's enthusiasm to share historical facts, stories, and give us context and info about all the sites along the route, e.g. famine walls, famine roads, popular pubs and restaurants, village festivals, birds and animals, etc.

John B. Should be given a raise. He was hands down one of the best drivers on ridiculously narrow roads. And gave us à nice and interesting educational tour as we went to the Aillwee Caves and Cliffs of Moher. The long trip was nicely broken up into small leg stretching breaks with photo opportunities making it not feel as long. Lally Tours give you exactly the right amount of time to see everything comfortably and not feeling like you are rushing. I would suggest them to anyone visiting the Galway area for a few days.
