Walter was a phenomenal guide who was not only an architecture expert, but also a historian and font of knowledge. We had a terrific tour of the garden district and learned a great deal about the area and its past, admiring the beautiful homes and gardens along the way

We’ve done over 30 airbnb exp and this isnt one I’d recommend. Our guide Simon showed up smoking a cigar.. unhealthy for us, cigars give me migraines but a smoking host in 2025? come on… not ok. he literally shouted everything, as if he were in a stadium, we were 5 people?? He spoke so fast, didn’t allow for questions, several times i asked a question n he just moved on… either he didn’t hear or was too busy or who knows. It was freezing and he kept choosing to stand in the cold instead of the sun. He paid no attention when we mentioned it, & 3 of us stood across the street in the sun at most of the stops? it was like he paid no attention to what was going on? The topics covered also were tone deaf..he kept saying slaves instead of enslaved people, lots about boxers, n lots of odd content, made ref to a black home owner who also owned slaves,as if that made it better? few women mentioned, n our stop was an obnoxious loud bar? We didn’t enjoy it at all. 3 stars was very generous.

We joined Simon for a great tour of the Garden District. Simon was so knowledgeable and made the history of the region come alive! He fielded all of our questions and was enthusiastic and clearly passionate about history. The pacing was good, and we saw a lot. Highly recommended!

Walter was an exceptional guide and made our trip to Nola memorable! He took his time walking us through the Garden District and gave us plenty of time to ask questions about the neighborhood and architecture. Throughout our trip we kept referencing the little pieces of history we had learned from him as well as how much fun we had had. In addition, he gave us recommendations for places to go after the tour, remembered all of our names (there were eight of us!), and made connections with each of us. Book this tour!

Paris Hidden Montmartre Tour

Host never showed up which resulted in us waiting for 40 minutes at the meeting point. They never answered any messages and the phone provided was an automatic machine that never led to no one. Airbnb tried to contact them as well with no success. Massive waste of our time, as we scheduled our itinerary for tour that eventually never happened. Totally unreliable hosts, no way of communication. Luckily Airbnb issued a refund but no one compensated us for the waste of our time…

Cicchetti & Wine Tour of Venice

Camilla was fantastic. A really knowledgeable and relaxed tour. Some beautiful food and wine, you really feel like you get to experience the city as a local. We would highly recommend!

Vienna on the flip side

Me and my friend shared a tour group with a family, with Maria as our excellent host. We had some snacks in a traditional market then some delicious Viennese cakes from a patisserie. For pre-lunch (yes, it did seem rather Hobbit-like!), Thomas introduced us to old school Viennese sausages, goulash, gluhwein, etc from his cabin. He was something of a character, with the gift of the gab, which certainly added to this part of the experience. Finally, we finished off with lunch proper! It was good to be in such a small group. with Maria all the while being very informative and helpful (my vegetarian restrictions not being a problem). Even though we had only four days in Vienna, with so much to see there, we didn't regret at all dedicating six hours of them to this tour.
