Great tour to do in San Jose, CR

My wife and I had some free time in San Jose before flying out the next day and was looking for something to do and take advantage of our time in Costa Rica. I looked at other tours and nothing really seemed appealing. I bumped into this tour and ended up being pretty fun. We walked a lot, so wear comfortable shoes. Our tour guide "Alejandro" took us to several monuments and buildings to describe their significance. We learned about the architecture, country history, past presidents and their contributions to CR. Learned about country's current economic achievements and exports, along with how far CR has come to be "green". Overall very educative... Half way through the tour we stopped at one of the oldest bars in San Jose "El Social", need to try the "Micheladas". Then finished up at another restaurant/bar where we ended up having dinner. Food was great, it was local style eating with a upper scale twist. Overall the tour was fun and educational, I would recommend it...

Camila was energetic, kind and extremely knowledgeable about the history of Montmartre. She has a very engaging personality and wonderful presentation style. We highly recommend this excellent tour.

Only 4 tastings at 3 locations. Skip this one.

Our guide said the company Intrepid is new to food tours, and it shows. A food tour at minimum should have six tastings. This had four tastings in only three locations. We passed several places where we could have tasted oysters, shrimp, clams or other seafood items, but our guide skipped them all and we didn't get to try any of these. We won't be back for this one and will discourage friends from taking it. The tour guide herself was fine....it just felt like Intrepid is just being stingy with their guests.

We had an absolutely amazing time on our walking architectural and food tour in Chicago with Rich as our guide! He was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about the city’s history, architecture, and food scene.
