Great Tour of the Tunnels
Our NZ travel agents booked this tour through Intrepid Travel which worked seamlessly. As per the instructions we all met at 7.30am at the Saigon Central Post Office and our guide, Thang pronounced Tounge gave us the briefing of the details etc. We set off in a comfortable small coach for the approximately 2 hour trip to the tunnel complex. The early timing was because of the heat/humidity. Once we arrived we were led into the complex with Thang informing us of all the details. He showed us a diagram of the underground complex as it existed 50 years ago and what is still there now. Be aware there are many other groups arriving all the time so it does get busy. On the tour we were shown the one-man holes where the soldiers would go into or pop out of. Also showed us the many man traps used to wound or kill the enemy soldiers. There is an incessant sound of cicadas ever present which is amazing compared to those at home. All the time there is the sound of gunfire in the background. At the end of the tour there are refreshments for those who choose not to shoot but for those like me there is a gun range and bunkers where you can shoot either a pistol, a AK47 or a M60 machine gun. The M60 was very popular so I had a go at the AK which was a bit different from my usual rifle shooting. You get 10 rounds for $50 approx but the retired soldier who is supervising gives you more rounds to make it worthwhile. On the bus trip back we stopped at village for a pre-arranged Banh Mi which is part of the tour. The beers were extra but welcome. Our guide Thang was great making for a great experience.

Lin was an awesome tour guide who spoke excellent English and provided many fun facts about the city. I really enjoyed this tour because of her.

A Necessary Tour
This was fantastic experience but only because of our tour guide Nina. She was very knowledgeable and was able to explain every display at the site. This is definitely a historical site where a guide is mandatory to get the most out of it.

Fantastic tour with lovely Alan
We had auch a fantastic time, our driver, Alan, was so personable and knowledgeable. It’s so different seeing the sights at night, all lit up. I wish we had done the tour at the beginning of our trip as you learn so much, it would have added something extra when walking around the city in the day.

Excellent Tour
We had a great morning on the tour with Olivia, who was both lovely and knowledgable regarding the seafood of Boston and how it ties in with the history of the area. The food was excellent, and nicely spread out through the tour. Would highly recommend.

Maria was a great guide in Vienna ! She knew the hidden secrets of the city and where to take our group of 6. You will not be hungry when you’re finished and don’t eat beforehand lol

This was a fantastic food tour! Maria was so knowledgeable and kind, and took us to some really unique (and delicious) places. She made sure we tried a wide variety of foods, which we appreciated. We had a wonderful time with her and would highly recommend this tour while in Vienna!

Great foodie tour with a real local
We had an absolute blast having Wolfgang as our guide. We visited many different and wonderful places outside the touristy area of Stephansplatz. Wolfie showed us (and had us taste) many different establishments from districts outside District 1. Make sure you bring an appetite because you’ll be eating at every stop, from sweets, pastries, lunch (in our case asparagus raviolis, Tafelspitz with different side dishes, dessert), and then more food to taste at the market with sausages, goulash, ice cream…it goes on. It was great to have a local guide to give you a feel of the city outside of District 1. Highly recommended!
