An absolute must in New York.

It was as good as I had hoped. Only fault I thought was the signage could have been better outside and in. Loved the exhibition of World Cup football shirts especially as most of New York seemed less than interested in the tournament. All the staff and facilities were good and was never overcrowded. Obviously fabulous views.

Trip ruined by people climbing the building

It was going to be a nice experience from the little I got too see, then the tours stopped for a good portion of time, and know one knew what was going on, til we were finally able to get out. Turns out 2- people were climbing the Empire State Building. One person said we could get a refund, then after going to the ticket office. Another person told me, they don’t give out refunds and since my tickets were brought through a 3rd party. They couldn’t do nothing for me. A lot of money wasted there. I didn’t even get the opportunity to pick up my pictures from them taken.

Highlight of our trip

We visited the observation decks at Sunset, and despite being quite busy it was a sight to be seen. Seeing the sunset, illuminate the sky coupled with the beautiful and idyllic skyline of NY that was transfixing. Those views are what I shall cherish for years to come. It was a perfect night for us, romantic and was honoured also to witness a proposal while we were up there. (Congrats to the lucky couple)

Beautiful experience!

If you can, book this for before sunset. By the time you get to the very top (floor 102), you will have the most gorgeous view. We went at 8pm before the sun was setting, and by the time we left the sky was bright orange and all of the city lights were on. Gorgeous views. There is a gelato and cannoli stand on floor 86, very tasty. My mom is afraid of heights, and still enjoyed it for the most part. The 86th floor is enclosed by diamond fences and the 102nd floor is completely enclosed. The elevators are completely enclosed and get you up to the proper floor quickly.

I loved the view from the 86th floor observatory, great experience overall, I am usually the type of person who hates being high up but this experience was truly mind-shocking.

Sunset at Empire State Building

I had a voucher for my birthday from my daughter to visit the Emoire State building. The day she had booked was very rainy and cloudy day. Went to the ticket person. Her name was Sharon and she gave us the best advise and happily changed our tickets for the next day which was a beautiful sunny day. She was so chatty and showed us the pictures etc. the best visit for me as we saw the view on a clear sunny day and enjoyed the sunset view. Thank you Sharon.
