Classic New York views worth experiencing once
The Empire State Building was a memorable New York experience. The exhibits on the way up were interesting, and the views from the observation deck were excellent, especially as the city lights started coming on. Admission is expensive, but we spent about two hours inside and felt the views and overall experience made it worthwhile. It was crowded near sunset, although the lines were organized and the staff kept everyone moving. The atmosphere was exciting, but the outdoor deck was windy and busy. Best for couples, families, photographers and first-time visitors to New York.
