Ask about the guide first
John talks too much. This is a bus full of adults - we all know about the war. He speaks unintelligently about people for example saying “H*tler was a good speaker.” As a German who attended the highest level German schooling and speaks this better German than John, I can tell you we evaluate these speeches in school because he precisely was NOT a good speaker. If John wanted to, he could say something about the way H*tler’s speeches evoked certain outcomes and emotions and why that was accomplished rather than pay him a compliment but John doesn’t seem capable about that. This is really a tour about John more than anything. He spoke about films as though he made the - even saying he was so proud of a recent Netflix one (didn’t know we were being guided by James Cameron). There was not one minute on the bus either out of Paris or between sites where people could talk among themselves because he constantly wanted to talk and lecture and brag. The first stop could’ve been shortened to only include the beach rather than the museum too. Also no need for the bunker stop. I’m truly grateful to have seen these sites but John is just too much.

Wonderful breakfast and tour!
The Vatican breakfast tour was fantastic. Breakfast was plentiful and the tour guide, Christian Savona, was outstanding. He was knowledgeable without being arrogant and related to both art lovers and non art enthusiasts alike. I would highly recommend City Wonders to anyone.

JOHN IS THE BOMB!
John was an excellent tour guide! He is very passionate and very knowledgeable in world history. He thoroughly gave us the run down of WWII and how it happened and why, sprinkling entertaining jokes in here and there. He gave book and movie suggestions in the subject of WWII and beyond. Ample time was given at each stop along the way. And he even pointed out various sites and landmarks along our journey. The cider tasting was really fun!

A day with the dead
Awesome tour with Heather. Going and looking at the tombs, she provides not only knowledge but also an entertaining sense of humor that compliments the adventure. My advice is to wear comfortable shoes and make sure your phone is charged so you can get all your pics of the dead.

This was the highlight of our trip to Europe! John was so educated and the tour felt like we were watching a documentary. So easy to listen to and John’s passion shows. We loved that there was several stops and that the tour was guided. Thank you so much!

Be careful and double check your reservations
I booked multiple tours on this website. When I tried to enter Colosseum, they told me that I entered my name wrong. I don' t understand how I can write my own name wrong, especially I'm the one who booked the tour. So I ended up having to wait outside of Colosseum. After the tour, my family was very disappointed because the tour guide didn't explained much and didn't even tour them the whole space. This is so disappointing to see how they treated their customers.

Ready to go back
Highly recommend this tour. Florence our tour guide provided us with a three hour taste of what the Louvre has to offer. Can’t wait to go back and wonder the halls of the Louvre.

Louvre in an afternoon
Excellent way to see the best highlights at the Louvre. Our guide was extremely informative and knowledgeable. It is a three hour tour but it would have been fine if it had been a tad shorter—maybe 2 1/2 hours—

Tour with Ana
Ana gave us incredibly informative and historically insightful tour. The palace was great and the basilica was the most beautiful I've seen in the world. Skipping the line was worth it and the Doge palace especially would not have as meaningful had it not been for the guide.

Fun and informative
We had an enjoyable ~3hr tour around the Colosseum and the Forum. Our guide, Emanuela, was knowledgeable and entertaining.

Awesome Day in Tuscany
This was a beautiful day trip to Tuscany. The wine tasting and lunch was great. The tour guide, Jonathan, was knowledgeable and friendly.

Fantastic way to see the museum!
Omar was a fantastic tour guide. He was enthusiastic and clearly loved the museum. The meeting place was clear. He was informative and answered questions, but also kept us moving. It was easy to hear him through the headphones. The museum is so big, and we felt we saw many of the highlights. It took us a long time to get through security, but that was not Omar’s fault. We stayed afterwards for a couple of hours. Highly recommend!

Our guide, Luz, was an art historian and gave us a wonderful overview of some of the major pieces. It was wonderful to have her guiding us as we would have been overwhelmed otherwise. We were able to appreciate some basics and enjoyed our day all the more.

Not cost effective . Book with the museum directly
It’s best to just buy a ticket from the museum directly and get an audio tour. Cheaper and you get all the information. The museum is well organized and you wait in cue like everyone else. This tour is not cost effective

Great trip full of knowledge and intermissions of food and cider
The order of the trip was perfect, building up in knowledge and impact as you progress through Utah beach, then pointe du hoc and culminating with Omaha beach and the cemetery - we made it just in time to see them play taps and lower the flags. Just wish it was two days :). Bring a phone charger. The bus has usb ports - you’re going to need it after taking so many photos!
