Our guide Laura was friendly and informative ensuring we knew what, when, where! Our guide in Pompeii, Will, knew the site inside and out and added some funny facts in along the way. The Amalfi coastline was beautiful. We had 2 hours in Sorrento to wander the streets and able to take more great photos. Overall a huge day, 12 hours, but we were able to tick off 3 areas in our limited time in Rome.

Una experiencia única sobretodo la ciudad etrusca. Solo se necesitaría más tiempo en Orvieto por su majestuosa Catedral y no da tiempo a ver otras obras.

The trip started good but due to high winds, Mt Vesuvius crater viewing/tour was canceled. The tour company could have checked the weather before departure vs taking us 3 hrs away and finding out that we can't go. Worst of all the guide started to fluster as this was a last minute surprise and kept being defensive like it's not my fault, etc. PLAN B was never in place. We sat in the bus and then at a restaurant for 2 hrs- 3 hrs before our next stop to Pompeii. Pompeii site visit was excellent. Better preparedness and Better Guides who know how to manage a crisis was missing.

The tour was very educational and had great stories but the stories were more relevant to the dark history of Paris rather than ghosts and spirits, which can be misleading when initially booking the tour.

Pompeii Day Trip from Rome with Mount Vesuvius or Positano option

Didn’t find out until we arrived in Pompeii that Vesuvius tour was cancelled. There was no plan B. No pivot. Very disappointing.

Our guide Franceska was excellent, explained everything very clearly, was super helpful. The driver Giovanni maneuvered the big bus very well along the mountains. One thing to improve is the rest stop in Cassino. The rest rooms at the stop were pretty bad. The food options were also limited. Maybe a better option can be picked.

Pompeii is beautiful and learned a lot. The lunch and limoncello tasting isn’t great. The views of the Amalfi coastline are great (but you’re not actually in Amalfi). Sorrento is a cozy town. The tour was 13.5-14 hours long rather than 12 which disrupted our travel plans.
