The trip to Murano and Burano was highly enjoyable, with a well-planned itinerary that allowed ample free time to explore the islands. The guide was excellent, providing insightful information about the cities and enhancing the overall experience. However, the boat experience was disappointing. Guests seated at the back of the boat faced discomfort due to the lack of windows, leading to suffocating diesel fumes throughout the hour-long ride. Despite repeatedly stepping outside for fresh air and raising concerns with the driver, no resolution was offered. The situation significantly impacted their comfort, highlighting the need for better seating arrangements, improved ventilation, and staff training to handle complaints empathetically.

Our guide Alberto was wonderful. He told vivid stories that help us picture everyday lives of Romans in Ostia. He was entertaining and attentive and we learned a lot on the tour. The site itself is beautifully preserved. We were sad to learn that such an important and beautiful site is underfunded and not many tourists visit Ostia these days. It’s certainly well worth traveling out of Rome and visit for a half day or even a whole day as there are so much to see!

overall great experience. Pompeii was really pretty and guide went through the history in a lot of detail. Bus drive was comfortable. Sorrento was quite pretty too, especially the drive.

While the Bernina Express tour offers the promise of breathtaking views and scenic exploration, the reality of the experience fell short in several key areas. The tour lasts 11 hours in total, but a significant portion—over 6 hours—is spent in a cramped bus, which severely limits any chance of enjoying the journey comfortably. Our brief stops in St. Moritz (just 1.5 hours) and Tirano (only 30 minutes) left little time for meaningful exploration or relaxation. When it came to the train portion, it was disappointing to find that the train did not feature panoramic windows, and there was no restaurant onboard. Instead, we were relegated to second-class seating, which further detracted from the supposed luxury of this experience. Additionally, the only break for food was a quick stop at a small restaurant for breakfast, with no other opportunities for dining during the trip. Alice was amazing. She definitely has a passion for Venice and it shows in her work. She was a very knowledgeable and kind guide. I would recommend the company to equip better their guides with microphones and proper speakers. We couldn’t hear well the comments from the back of the boat.
