Our tour guide (Francesa Gin) was fantastic - a Venetian local who was generous with her local knowledge, and told us interesting anecdotes and history - just the right amount - a lot to learn without us feeling overwhelmed! The tour was well organised and a good size. The glass blowing demonstration was a highlight!

Excellent experience

Francesca was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable, funny and gave tremendous context to the tour. Her commentary on the Sistine Chapel was very informative before going in, but the guide through St Peter's Basilica was even better. Highly recommend

Small group guided tour of The Vatican City was simply awesome. Would have learnt half as much if we had just bought tickets and walked round our selves

Beautiful tour of the...

Beautiful tour of the Vatican, Museums, and Sistine Chapel. Our tour guide was great and gave us interesting facts and history as we toured. Some spots we stood too long, especially for older people in our group. There’s no places to sit at all even for a tiny break. But overall it was stunningly beautiful, and rich in history. I highly recommend going in off season, there weren’t that many tourists and it was comfortably cool in the buildings.

Good tour

Firstly , the meeting point was easy to find just across from the queues to enter on a set of stairs. We were really disappointed that due to the jubilee, we would not be able to have a guided tour around St Peters. We understood the reason however I'm sure the company would have known about this before hand and could have contac ted people to give them the option to reschedule to another day as by the time you have made your way to the meeting point and are standing with ur headset in its a bit late. We did receive a refund of £15 from a total of £150! Unfortunately we could not visit without a guide the next day as we had plans if we had known in advance we would have made a point of going the day before. Our guide was very nice and extremely knowledgeable. She took her time to explain what we were looking at and answer any questions. It felt very busy and so I can't imagine what it would be like in some of the more narrow areas in the busier months. This is a must do trip on a visit to Rome.

Perfect time of year!

We went in February when it wasn’t as busy. I can’t think of a more perfect day for this excursion! John met us in Rome and got us on our bus where we headed for Pompeii. He gave us insights on the country and what we would be seeing in Pompeii. When there, we met with Elena, our local guide, who brought us through the ruins. She was amazing and told us stories about the life and death of the people of this time. She really humanized the experience so we could understand what happened as best as we could. After Pompeii, John took us to a limoncello factory and up the Amalfi coast to Positano. Oh my goodness!!!! The views are unbelievable!!!!! What a special town! I loved every minute! Then it was back to Rome. While this adventure took all day, it felt like we were there for only a moment. John kept us engaged and took care of us. Great day trip…highly recommend!

Amazing, even with little ones!

Our tour guide, Natasha, was a wealth of knowledge and taught us so much about Italy. The sights were unforgettable and having the chance to walk around/learn about Pompeii was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The Limencello factory was a super cool stop and the gelato was unbeatable. Our entire family, even kids aged 6 and 8, had a great time. Would absolutely recommend!

Great tour! I loved walking around Lake Como, especially since it wasn’t busy given that it was winter. The best part of the trip was the Bernina train ride from Saint Moritz.

This was a great walking tour. Our guide was so informative and passionate about Florence. She was funny, too. We saw a lot on the tour and ended with the museum/David which was amazing. It is a good tour for your first day in Florence so you can get an overview of the city.

Cinque Terre / Pisa

Wonderful trip. Could have spent less time in Pisa. Our tour guide was terribly quiet the entire trip, difficult to hear her. Overall worth it!

Great Birthday trip!!!

This was an amazing day trip. I took my mom on her 70th birthday and it was such a great part of our trip to Italy!!! The bus ride was comfortable and they did break it up pretty well. We were at Pompei in January and it was great as there was hardly anybody there. I was able to get pictures without tons of people in the background. Positano was good as well, but during this time of the year very little is open so not a lot to do there. That would be my only suggestion is to make that 30 minutes shorter and get back to Rome a little earlier. Our guide and driver were amazing, we really enjoyed the whole day!!
