Not recommended - book elsewhere or once you get to Venice with a tour company you feel solid with.

Even though the booking email says tour starts at 10:30 they really meant 10:15. Boat leaves on time - no refunds. Our Vaporetto was 5 min late in arriving at the dock to get us to the tour "meeting point" which was also a large shopping area full of vendors and a large statue - not a single point or address. The kicker was, though we arrived at 10:35 for a 10:30 departure, we were able to meet up with 3 other 10:30 am tours departing to Murano/burano, that were still assembling (we were asking if they were our group) - they were meeting appropriately by the dock near the boat they would depart on. Tried to call tour company when I realized timing to say we were 5 min away - no answer in DUBLIN, IRELAND from the tour group. Was called 2 min later by the tour group to see if we were still coming - YES - I said, please wait we're waiting on the vaporetto to dock... and the rep basically said, good luck they may or may not wait for you and no we don't care. I spent another $45 in vaporetto tix to burano and we had our own tour and glass blowing demo. Sorry Viator, won't be booking with you again.

10/10 worth it

Natalia was awesome! This was well worth it experience it, she was very knowledgeable about the pieces and history and made the tour so fun. I had a great time and learned so much.

I’ve never seen hand made...

I’ve never seen hand made glass, which was impressive. But there seemed to be an emphasis on trying to sell us some glass.

Enchanting Breakfast Experience

It was the most enchanting breakfast (my favorite meal) experience. Well organized, easy process, including a whole vatican tour.

Interesting and less traveled adventure of Rome

Meeting point was easy to find and on time. We met our guide at the fountain in the center of the plaza. We were told right away that one of our three scheduled stops was under renovations and therefore we would be bypassing it and going to a different location (ended up being some old ruins and was a quick stop). The canceled stop was the Basilica of San Nicola which was said to reopen in several weeks. I’m assuming sometime in mid to late April but the guides were unsure. Our guide was great and very knowledgeable. The catacombs were greats and we had a thorough explanation of the history as we were guided below. The crypts were fascinating and consisted of an automated audio tour through a museum prior to entering the crypts themselves (The stop with the bone art). This venue closed at 1:30pm and we unfortunately had to skip through the last 6 audio stops and displays so we could spend roughly 5 minutes admiring the crypts. Very rushed at the crypts and there was literally staff moving us along towards the end and as our group exit the building they immediately shut the doors and locked them behind us. No fault to the guided tour but a little disappointing being rushed through. All in all I would still recommend, this trip for anyone wanting to see the less traveled parts of Rome.

This was a very interesting tour and thorough! The Cappuccino museum was fascinating to know the lives of the past and present Fryers. Our guide was extremely knowledgable and funny too!

Great tour!

If you aren’t looking to walk a good bit then this tour isn’t for you. If you’re okay walking up and down hills and steps then do yourself a favor and sign up for this tour. I don’t remember the name of our guide but she was a very very nice and petite woman. She was very nice and very educated on the subject matter. Always willing to answer a question for anyone. She kept the speed and pace of the tour perfect and we all very much enjoyed the time with her. Great tour

Pompeii and Positano trip.

Very good and informative. Would benefit by shortening the Pompeii part of the tour and expanding the time spent in Positano. Wonderful scenery and history.

Great guide. Great weather. Great experience.

Our tour guide, Sonia G., was great. We had great weather, a guided tour of Pompeii, and some free time in Positano (~1.5 hours). I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who is looking for a full day (~13 hours) away as a part of their stay in Rome.

Great castle tour

We had a great trip and Emma was an awesome tour guide. It was a long ride back but the castles were gorgeous. The wine tasting was nice but not a focus so don’t expect a sideways tour. This is a castle tour with a wine tasting thrown in

Fascinating tour of the Vatican

The tour is very informative and there is a huge amount to see but, until you get to the Basilica, you are in a non stop stream of people. It is very busy so there are few opportunities to stand and look. Our guide, Georgia, was excellent and found some good places to stop near the iconic statues and she was very informative which did make up for the fact that we couldn't really see some of the things she was talking about. It was a different story in the Basilica as we were able to get close to the many beautiful statues and architectural details and Georgia spoke about them very knowledgeably. The tour took three hours and there is a lot of walking and standing so wear comfortable shoes! The Vatican is a fascinating place and if you want to see it, we would definitely recommend taking this tour.

Outstanding!

Our guide was outstanding! I learned an incredible amount of information without feeling like I was in school. She was very personable, kind and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend to anybody visiting Rome/the Vatican.

Humbling

Our tour guide Paola H was great! It was a wonderful experience getting the history of the Vatican and all the art inside. Truly humbling to be in such an ancient and beautiful place.

Giuseppe was our guide...

Giuseppe was our guide and he did an excellent job with our family. The Vatican is a LOT to see and even in 3 hours you barely scratch the service. So if you want to take your time book a longer tour just for the Vatican and stay there post your. You can book St Peters separately because after you leave the Vatican you cannot come back in. So I would recommend booking both separately if you want to stay in the Vatican. If you are short on time then this is perfect. You can easily spend a week in the Vatican and not see everything so plan in advance what you want to see. You can see everything you want to see at St Peters in 1-3 hours. Enjoyed the knowledge and easy going nature of Giuseppe and hope you get him in your tours in Rome.
