De HP studio’s waren heel vet maar je kunt beter op tijd een los kaartje kopen en dan zelf het vervoer regelen. Het is buiten proportioneel hoeveel je voor het vervoer moet betalen. Gids die ons naar de HP studio’s bracht was wel erg enthousiast.

It was a long day, but we left on time and everything stayed on schedule. The guides Saeed and James were friendly and informative and answered questions that we had. James went into a lot of history about the. Normandy region which was interesting … however at 7-8 am it was a bit of a heavy history subject and I’m afraid he put a lot of us to sleep. Thankfully he knew his audience and allowed us a break. It piqued enough of my interest though that I have since researched on my own. We stopped at a convenience store for restrooms breaks half way (clean facilities) and sandwiches and bakery items which was good. ( same on the way back but a shorter break so we could get back )Saeed gave us great information on the island and what to expect. As promised there were lots and lots of stairs. This trip is not for the faint of heart and those with mobility issues should be prepared However it was a once in a lifetime excursion and we enjoyed it. We would highly recommend. .

The trip to Murano and Burano was highly enjoyable, with a well-planned itinerary that allowed ample free time to explore the islands. The guide was excellent, providing insightful information about the cities and enhancing the overall experience. However, the boat experience was disappointing. Guests seated at the back of the boat faced discomfort due to the lack of windows, leading to suffocating diesel fumes throughout the hour-long ride. Despite repeatedly stepping outside for fresh air and raising concerns with the driver, no resolution was offered. The situation significantly impacted their comfort, highlighting the need for better seating arrangements, improved ventilation, and staff training to handle complaints empathetically.

Fue una muy buena experiencia. Nuestra anfitriona, Laura, hizo ameno el viaje y nos daba datos interesantes, además de avisarnos cuándo podíamos dormir en el camino. Enrico el conductor fue puntual y no hacía giros bruscos. Francesco, nuestro guía y que es arqueólogo, nos dio muy buena información y respondió todas nuestras preguntas

Our guide Alberto was wonderful. He told vivid stories that help us picture everyday lives of Romans in Ostia. He was entertaining and attentive and we learned a lot on the tour. The site itself is beautifully preserved. We were sad to learn that such an important and beautiful site is underfunded and not many tourists visit Ostia these days. It’s certainly well worth traveling out of Rome and visit for a half day or even a whole day as there are so much to see!
