Without any notification by the City Wonders tour operator, our assigned guide did not show up and they sent a replacement "guide" who didn't know anything at all about the subject matter and was only able to provide entry tickets rather than the guided tour our group had purchased. Additionally, we were instructed to meet by 10am for our 10:15am tour, but the replacement guide would not let us begin the "tour" until close to 11:15am telling us we needed to wait for two parties who were no-shows and despite repeated pleading from the entire group to begin our tour at the scheduled time, leaving the rest of us shivering at the meeting point for the first hour of a two-hour tour on one of the coldest days of the year. When we called City Wonders, they seemed completely unaware of the situation, which added to the frustration. Another family on the tour had had other positive experiences with that tour operator, so not sure why this particular tour was such a disaster.

The whole experience is truly remarkable. Our overall guide (Alberto) was very organized and he made everyone feel comfortable. Our bus driver (Giovani) worked very hard to get us back safely in Rome despite the holiday traffic. Our Pompeii guide (Elena) was very knowledgeable of the place and she was funny. I will truly recommend this trip, especially if you have a day to spare when you are having a holiday in Rome. The view of the Naples bay was breathtaking. When you are in Positano, go straight up to the Panorama view instead of going to the church. The view there especially during sunset is breathtaking. Kudos to Alberto, Giovani, and Elena!

Alexandra was a fabulous tour guide; she was kind and friendly, easy to understand, and shared with us not only the details and importance of works in the Borghese, but what she loved about them, which gave the gallery a special touch for us; we had plenty of time to browse as we learned about specific pieces, and having the info through the earpieces made it nice to be able to hear her even if we were standing in another side of a gallery. The walk in the gardens afterward was lovely as well and she oriented us well for the rest of our day. She also took the time to chitchat with our young daughter - who loved the attention. Would highly recommend.

Our guide Muriel was amazing! As a native local, she knows absolutely everything about Barcelona, Montserrat, the monastery, the Basilica, all the history and what activities to do and how each one of the group should do it. The transport van was very comfortable and nice. Recommended for families and groups.

Guide Mickael D. Était très intéressant et cultivé et surtout avec nous très gentil ! La visite était très vivante et interactive même si il a fallu la suivre en anglais. Mes enfants ont bien apprécié (rien à voir avec la « prestation » du ground zero tour qui était nulle). Le Summit est l’apothéose ! À faire je recommande.
