I bought this guided tour because the tickets were sold out online for the tower. The internet mentioned 2-3 hour lines to wait for tickets day of which I wanted to avoid. I bought this tour to avoid that long wait and enjoy the tour. The tour is practically someone taking you to where the line starts and waiting in the same line with you. It took us 2.5 hours just to buy tickets we could’ve bought ourselves. Save your money and buy tickets in person. We could’ve paid $120 for the same tickets we paid $300 for.

J'ai bien aimé la partie de la crypte des capucins, mais nous avons manqué de temps par la suite pour les catacombes et pour la basilique. Super activité avec une riche histoire mais je n'ai pas pu apprécier les lieux suffisamment longtemps. Je recommande l'activité, cela vaut le coup.

We were very happy with the overall execution of the trip. Without the headaches of planning such a complex route, we just sat back and relaxed our way though the journey. The guide, Enrika was inspirational as despite her seniority, she was enthusiastic about explaining things in detail. She interacted a lot with the whole group and kept everyone involved. The driver, Luca was also very efficient in his driving. I think it is well worth the money spent. The weather was great and handling at Pompeii was smooth. Only one issue which I would like to highlight is that the leg room in front of the seats is quite limited making it challenging to sit for such long journeys for tall people. I hope they can make the buses more comfortable in future.

Enjoyed the tour. The first part with Louise, was informative with a good dash of humor. The beefeater who took us from there was excellent, and really brought the experience to life.

This trip was great! Saw a lot, and would recommend it to anyone looking to see Pompeii from Rome. One caveat - the booking says it’s 12 hours, but it’s not. It’s 14. It’s a lonnnnng day.
