Murano and Burano with Chiara is stellar!
This was a very fun and informative trip! Chiara (aka Claire) was knowledgeable and funny. She was full of detailed information that she shared consistently. She made sure to get to know each person on the trip a little bit, and worked to connect guests, as well. The Murano glass demonstration was amazing, with the master artisan showing how he makes a vase and then a Murano horse in just minutes. Very impressive artistry! The workers in the shop were available, knowledgeable, and friendly. They helped us choose gifts for others and a beautiful ring and vase to take home. Burano was incredibly charming. We loved the colorful homes- so picturesque! We were able to watch an artist making lace for a few minutes and then were permitted ro wander the island on our own. We found a small cafe for light snacks as we watched people. The shops were unique and shopkeepers friendly. The group was small enough to make it feel personal, but Chiara’s tour guiding was a huge highlight. She is a Venice native and was able to tell us a lot about the islands we visited but also about the islands we passed on the boat. Highly recommend!

Colosseum tour
Amazing tour! Guide was very knowledgeable and answered questions. We were able to learn a lot. Started at the colosseum and ended in the Roman forum.

Just had an outstanding tour with Oksana as our guide. She was wonderful! Oksana was very enthusiastic and extremely knowledgeable. She kept referring to us as her “dear friends” and you honestly felt like you were! She kept the tour moving at a good pace, as best she could with the crowds, to be sure we got to St. Peter’s Basilica before it closed. Along the way, Oksana was so excited to share with us the beauty of the Sistine Chapel and all the art along the way. Her enthusiasm was palpable! Oksana really made the tour fun, but educational too. I truly enjoyed my time in Vatican City with Oksana as our guide!

Don't Miss This Amazing Experience!!!
We had a beautiful day --- weather was mild in early April and the sun was strong, so the boat rides were perfect. Our tour guide was Elena Polin and she was the BEST ever! A long-time native of the area, she knows a lot about the history, people, and culture of Venice and her excitement for the craftsmanship sustained on island of Murano (glass art pieces) and Burano (intricate lacework) was infectious! She was funny and entertaining as well as professional, and made us all feel like family! Elena knew so much and added short stories and anecdotes that made us feel like we had an understanding of the locals' pride in their work even before we'd stepped off the boat! Ask for Elena by name -- no other tour guide will measure up! It was fascinating watching the artisans on Murano as they gave us a snippet of time demonstrating their masterful glass-making skills --- but the best was yet to come as we then "toured" their artworks in a grand museum-like setting and had the opportunity to buy individual and one-of-a-kind pieces by these amazing Venetian artists. Two floors where one piece was more magnificent then the next. Our next stop was Burano island where we were provided a short demonstration of lace-making. Stunning island where the houses / buildings are vibrant jewel colors of pink, yellow, purple, blue, etc.! We had a quick lunch (and gelato) from one of the many delicious cafes and barely had time to appreciate the rows and rows of shops offering exquisite lace items incorporating the work of local artisans. Definitely a 5-star tour! I'd love to go back and spend more time on each island: an entire day spending 3-4 hours each on Murano and Burano would be wonderful alternative to the city bustle of Venice proper. Wonderful craftsmen, beautiful islands, and super-friendly people!!!

Wonderful Side Trip
Elena did an excellent job with giving an informative and interesting tour of Murano and Burano. She was engaging and fun. Although the glass demonstration and gallery at Murano were fascinating, the real gem of the trip was Burano. The town was quaint, beautiful, and oh so colorful! I only wish we had had more time to spend there.

Excellent tour. Ian was our tour guide and he was extremely informative and funny. He did an excellent job of keeping the group together which resulted in a very organized tour where everyone could hear and keep up. I highly recommend this tour.

beefeater meeting worth the tour.
Excellent tour with Beefeater. Accidental meeting with the general of the fortress. Tour guide from tour company pleasant. Wished more detail on the tower history and less on London city. Understand they are integrated.

This is a great tour. The Louvre can be extremely overwhelming. So with a guide it was easy to navigate. And he gave us several options to leave the group at any point or finish with him the whole way. A great way to see the Louvre.

Day trip to Normandy.
John, our guide was incredibly knowledgeable. It was a gorgeous day. We enjoyed everything we saw and learned a lot. It is an impactful and soul stirring day. Pro-tips: (1) remind them to turn on the air if you are in the back of the bus- we were all sweltering; (2) pack your own lunch - the restaurant food was not particularly good.

This was a very educational and insightful tour through the Colosseum and the Forum. Get ready to walk a lot! If you’re interested in the history of these places you will not be disappointed! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and included pictures for us to see what some of the locations looked like in ancient times. Having a guide really brings these places to life!

Amazing 👏 learned so much! Well worth it. John is The Best! You have to move fast to see everything, but so worth it. When you go the restaurant, get the cheese pizza! Highly recommend

Guide historical presentation was interesting
The tour guide provided interesting and relevant historical facts. Kept tour on pace. Time at Omaha beach could have been just a little longer. Micro phone in bus could have been louder.

Wonderful tour. To experience D-Day beaches from Paris in one day this was a great tour. If you want more time to spend in the area this is not the tour for you. However, to get a feel for the area in one day, from Paris, this was perfect. The American Cemetery was beautiful and emotional. The beaches were emotional as well. The museum at Utah Beach was excellent. It is a long day but worth the time!

Guide never showed up
Tour guide never showed up. after looking and walking around the entire square for 40mins I eventually gave up. There was never anyone with a sign/flag saying City Wonders. No bother booking this tour as they just take your money and then don’t actually give you the tour you paid for. Better to just book a ticket to the palace and walk around yourself. Don’t bother with this tour company.

Very enjoyable tour of the Louvre. Be prepared for a crowd! Our guide was so helpful in making sure we understood hat we were looking at and gave interesting tidbits of history. Hugo was a delight!
