We looked forward to this tour, specifically choosing it for guided tour of the Gardens whch we pd extra for. Our guide announced her area was history. She knew that well. Her presentation was serious but thorough. There was minimal personal engagement. After 2 hr tour she was ready for outside... no bathroom or snack break offered, till asked for. Approx. 14 people took the tour with people exiting during the tour. Heading out to the gardens, there were 8 left. On garden tour she moved so quickly with the other 6 we started to fall behind. Had no headsets anymore so could not hear. At no time did she stop to let us catch up. Instead of walking in the park-like area she proceded down a sidewalk on the street. We continued following. Finally, we realized we were no longer part of the group. She didn't check to see where we were, slow down, or make any effort at contact. We could see them and followed, then finally dropped out after acknowledging she was done with us. What a shame!

Day was great-check in is chaotic at the meeting place but once settled the guide Peter was amazing. Clearly evident he studied history, mythology, local culture and customs. English was impeccable and he was funny. Plenty of edutainment made the bus trip and perfect mix of rest and information. He used WhatsApp to communicate with the group as there are many people on the islands and dock. Easy to feel lost but we were treated as adult travelers with options. It was the perfect way to end our time here in Italy.

Les 5 terres et Pise sont vraiment à ne pas rater, ça vaut le coup de se lever tôt ! La journée était bien organisée. Nous avons eu du temps libre le midi pour déambuler, ainsi qu’à Pise. Les transports étaient bien organisés A éviter : le restau proposé le midi, avec une vague salade, des pâtes et une crème brûlée pour 30e. Tout le reste était très agréable, malgré le nombre de touristes
