The trip to Pompeii was great. The bus was comfortable. All the guides very nice and knowledgeable. There is not a lot of time in Pompeii, a little less than 2 hours. But it was hot and so moving fast was ok. And if I didn’t have a guide, I wouldn’t understand the significance of what I was seeing. So overall very good tour of Pompeii. I would have preferred 3 hours total but the day is already long. The pizza was the best we had on our trip so far! We did the hike. It was advertised as a guided hike but there was no guide on the hike. Other tours had someone walking with them explaining things about the hike. I don’t know what tour company they used. The limoncello stop was fun to try some but it was definitely a sales presentation. Still glad to try it so don’t expect too much. All of the food you could sample was tasty.

Geweldige tour gehad, de energie die Maria als Gids overbrengt op ons is op zich al een geweldige beleving. Ze verteld veel op een komische manier, waardoor het ook interessant blijft. Maria bedankt voor deze mooie ervaring.

I don’t recommend this tour to anyone who values an authentic experience. Firstly, as other reviews mention you arrive into the first stop before anything open, which is pointless and a waste of time. Secondly, the three course lunch and wine tasting is so commercial and average at best. You are placed into a dining hall as multiple other tour groups arrive. Whilst eating you listen to the restaurant owner talk on a microphone repeating the same generic speech to group after group. They also don’t tell you a single thing about the food/produce, farm or wine. The food is low quality and “3 courses” is literally some bread, tomato pasta and a biscuit. Thirdly, the last stop in Bagnoregio is not suitable for the elderly, disabled, unfit or young children. The walk up to the village is extremely steep and followed up multiple steps each way. It’s a challenge even for those who are fit, especially in the sun with no shade. It’s very misleading for the tour company to not mention this

Overall the tour was a decent day trip. What made the trip was our guide, Marius. Marius was very approachable, engaging and knowledgeable.. he made the experience a lot more enjoyable. It would be beneficial to have a longer amount of free time in Pompeii, as you barely get any. Instead, they heard the tour group into a nearby tourist trap pizzeria for lunch. Important to note that the tour guide doesn’t eat here (because it’s bad pizza) The limoncello tasting is not really a tasting. It’s just a scheme to get you into a tourist shop to buy mass produced food items and souvenirs. Additionally, the bus is extremely cramped and the aircon sucks.

Przewodniczka Parnian była fantastyczna. Bardzo ciekawie opowiadała nie tylko o zwiedzanych miejscach, ale i o całych Włoszech. Bardzo miła i uprzejma osoba.

Kler guide og Paolo chauffør var super. Det var en skøn tur. Men lidt lang. Sorrento var fin. Men ikke den ekstra køretur værd. En anden lille kystby ville være skøn. Måske med knap så mange turister.
