We missed the tour because of a protest happening that made us late and we asked to be let in without the guide as we knew we missed our tour time and we were denied. Extremely disappointed that no solutions to something out of our control couldn’t be found by the company.

Unser Guide kam erst zu spät und dann hat es sich so angefühlt als würde er Richtung Feierabend durch die Burg hasten. Man konnte wenig mal stehen bleiben und sich neben seinen Erklärungen noch umschauen. Wir hatten auch jemanden in der Gruppe, der nicht so gut zu Fuß war. Leider wurde auch darauf sehr wenig Rücksicht genommen durch den Guide. Die Aussicht war aber fantastisch und der Guide auch sehr freundlich.

I have done this trip before with a different provider and felt it was longer than the GYG version. I had enough time to shop with pleasure & see the views. With GYG, we ran so late because the restaurant options were all FULL and extremely slow, we ended up nearly missing the bus back. I had to call our tour guide to explain we waited forever for meals that we would be late, which was a huge inconvenience. I would like to see a more manageable time window for the meal break in the future.

This activity was a good way to have a taste of Positano and Pompeii in one day. The transport is long, but our guide Laura told us information about Italy during the drive and also gave us time to rest. The stunning views of Positano and learning about the history in Pompeii from the local guide made this worth it!
