(Translated by Google) Visiting Bran Castle is like stepping into a world of legends, medieval architecture, and landscapes straight out of a fairy tale. Located on the border between Transylvania and Wallachia, this imposing castle has been mistakenly linked to the myth of Dracula, but its true charm transcends fiction. From the moment you arrive, the silhouette of the castle perched atop a hill takes your breath away. Its perfectly preserved stone and timber structure contrasts with the lush forests that surround it, creating an atmosphere that is both magical and mysterious. A tour of its interior is fascinating: narrow corridors, secret staircases, rooms decorated with period furniture, and exhibits that recount its rich history, from its construction in the 14th century to its strategic role throughout the centuries. The museum it houses is also a pleasant surprise: well-curated, informative, and accessible, with panels in several languages that allow you to understand the history of the castle and the region. Furthermore, the views from the towers are simply spectacular, offering a unique panorama of the Carpathian Mountains. The surroundings don't disappoint either. The artisan market at the foot of the castle and the nearby nature trails make the visit a complete experience, perfect for both history buffs and those seeking a picturesque getaway. In short, Bran Castle is a must-see on any trip to Romania. Not only for its legendary fame, but also for its authenticity, its beauty, and the way it connects visitors with the living history of Eastern Europe.

I really enjoyed Bran castle! Yes it may not be "Dracula's" castle per say, but it is a very important landmark with an interesting history. It wasn't too busy when I went and I found I was able to explore on my own outside of tour groups. This gave me time to read and learn about the place and I enjoyed it. I wish I would have done the tunnels but opted out of the extras. No need to book in advance - just pay at the kiosk (they only accept card)

(Translated by Google) A more hyped castle than it really is. If you compare it to castles, Mukachevo and Uzhhorod castles are much better.

A great castle with a lot of history. A lot of stairs involved and fairly steep staircase. Lots to see inside. Near one of the windows upstairs the floorboards appeared to move a bit which I found spooky. Think something must have been underneath it to vibrate. Towards the end lots of references to Dracula
