We were stupid enough to visit on a Saturday morning because we’re on holidays and not really paying attention to stuff like that. We missed the opportunity to skip the queue into the lane which anyone can do as they merge at the end. We were also v hangry. The town itself is meh. We also accidentally booked a hotel on the wrong side of the town so we’re driving through it again now looking for somewhere nice to eat like a kebab or bbq kind of thing, somewhere that definitely does sausages

This is a truly beautiful castle, steeped in history, in a beautiful setting. It was about £20 per person admission fee and I have to say, it's not worth the price! It didn't take long to see everything (maybe 40 min). There are also extra fees to see the torture room and another area, which we didn't see. The visit is informative, with written information in Romanian and English on the walls, plus lots of beautiful furniture and furnishings. In the grounds outside, they have some medieval things such as pottery, blacksmithing and two lads fighting with wooden swords, amongst other things.
