Extremely poorly organized starting from the ticket machines, to the person checking them at the turnstiles outside,as you enter the Castle premises and the person checking them at the main gate of the Castle, when you enter he building, to the staff inside the castle and dont even get me started about the chaos, dirty and incredibly disturbing area in front of the castle with all the streetfood and souvenir shops. Tacky and out of place for such a historical place.besides the fact that it is poorly placed, the little space you have to enter the castle, is oacked wither with long lines witing for the entrance, or with the rude and nosiy tourists or sellers from the above mentioned souvenir shops. Castle being private and the domain in font of it being public, i understand the discrepancy of the 2 , but if the authorities cannot do something about this, to preserve and promote Romania's biggest brand, then maybe Romanian tourism deserves its faith and let the tourists go visit the castle in Germany instead. This place is a shame on the Romanians' cheek.

Other then the idea of visiting the inspiration for the vampire books, the castle has some interesting architecture but by itself wouldn’t be worth the time and drive.
