Furthermore, we purchased the extra pass (20 lei per person) to visit the torture chamber. The chamber itself is interesting, and we believe it's worth seeing, but the experience was quite disappointing due to the staff's behavior. There were two women in charge of checking QR codes, but they were more focused on talking amongst themselves than attending to visitors. One of them even started talking loudly on her phone while people were passing through unchecked, which completely broke the atmosphere of the room. Listening to a loud phone conversation while reading descriptions of torture instruments is quite anticlimactic. In summary, the castle is worth a visit, but there are organizational and customer service aspects that clearly need improvement.
