A hideous tourist trap. It’s bad enough that they charge you €14 for entry which is far too high for an attraction of its quality. It was extremely crowded meaning we had to queue outside for about twenty minutes before going in. That wasn’t too much of an issue. The real issue is that it’s so crowded once you get inside, it’s just not possible to enjoy the place and you spend a long time standing still waiting for the line of people to move. It’s a typical Eastern European castle. Nothing special inside. It is full of naff Dracula rubbish that has nothing to do with the actual history of the castle. To be fair, the place does a good job of telling the real story of the castle but then it ruins it by putting loads of Dracula inspired junk alongside it. For €14 you can certainly do a lot better with your time. Also if you feel tempted to go to the time tunnel thing, read the reviews for it. They are shocking.

Totally NOT WORTH IT. Even though it is listed as a "must-do" on everyone's travel blogs, it's a must-avoid (from now on) for me. Waited in a giant line to get in, only to realize the line continued on the inside all the way through the castle. It was a mad house of people and the small interiors made it worse. Have been to better castles for cheaper, and FAR fewer people. It was not managed as well as it should've been and not worth the price. If you MUST go then at least go right at opening or closing. As an additional point, if you are a person who gets easily overstimulated (like me) you should definitely avoid going.

EXTREMELY BUSY. It's a nice location and pretty castle however there are other better castles like Corvin Castle.
