(Translated by Google) It's worth getting there early in the morning before opening because the crowd is very big!

(Translated by Google) An average attraction. The castle's interior layout is very interesting. The administration needs to consider ventilation during the heat of the day. Not even 10 percent of the facility's potential is being utilized. The castle is world-famous, yet the surrounding infrastructure is lacking. I still recommend it. (Original) Atrakcja średnia. Bardzo ciekawy układ wnętrza zamku. Administracja musi pomyśleć o wentylacji w upale dni. Polecam mimo wszytko.

(Translated by Google) Situated on a steep cliff between Măgura and Dealul Cetății, surrounded by the Piatra Craiului Mountains and the Bucegi massifs, Bran Castle, located in the Rucăr-Bran corridor, 30 km from Brașov, represents a magical place in the heart of Transylvania. Although the castle has no connection with Prince Vlad Tepeș, the Irish writer Bram Stoker published a book about Count Dracula, and the castle described by the author resembles the Brand, his fascinating story changes the image of Romania, our country being seen by foreign tourists as being the homeland of Dracula becoming the country's brand. Those who are looking for frightening experiences can visit the exhibition of torture instruments such as the interrogation chair, the cradle of Judas, the iron maiden, the chastity belt... or they can visit the secret passage, once known only to soldiers, all of this with additional visit costs. ...and let's not forget at the entrance to the fortress, those who offer you a multitude of souvenirs for purchase that keep the image of Bran Castle fresh in your memory.🤗 (Original) Situat pe o stâncă abruptă dinte Măgura și Dealul Cetății, înconjurat de Munții Piatra Craiului și masivele Bucegi, Castelul Bran , situat in culoarul Rucăr -Bran, la 30 km de Brașov, reprezintă un loc magic în inimă Transilvaniei.

(Translated by Google) We arrived on Thursday, it was busy and crowded, so we couldn't really linger to see. The surrounding gardens and stalls are very beautiful. We arrived on a day that was cool and a little rainy and we weren't prepared for that, so we didn't linger too long.

(Translated by Google) A shuttle service is available from Brasov to the castle (13 lei). The castle is in excellent condition and draws inspiration from Bram Stoker's life. There's no need to book tickets in advance, and definitely not through Headout (more expensive and the audio guide doesn't match the tour).

(Translated by Google) The castle is simple, with extremely narrow stairs. This leads to queues and crowds. It's a small castle. It gets crowded because of its reputation as Dracula's Castle, but it's nothing special. The entrance fee is 70 lei. Tickets can be purchased from machines at the entrance. The garden is beautiful. There are many shops selling souvenirs around it, and they are more affordable than in Bucharest.

We visited as part of a 12+ hr tour out of Bucharest. During the summer, there were massive crowds with a highly commercial area outside with numerous vendors selling their wares. The castle is dark but not so dank in the summer period, and was all that castles, particularly related to Dracula, are expected to be. Stairways are claustrophobic with minimal railings (there were ropes on the walls in places). Stone and wood stairs are well worn from use and the white walls darkened from visitors bracing themselves. Furniture is sparse with no real effort to renovate to its original grandeur. The second floor is the medieval torture area (additional charge) which we did not go to, but peaking through a window, appeared to have the customary instruments from the movies (iron maiden, spiked chair). The tour was relatively short and it was hard to interrupt the flow of visitors. It would not be out of place at a theme park though there is a sense of medieval history here. It was disappointing when the tourguide advised that there was no real vampires, which apparently was fiction authored by Bram Stoker in Ireland who never visited the region and patterned his castles after those in the UK. Bran Castle's notoriety is due to the popularity of Dracula, and it appears that the owner (a descendant of the king who built it) sought to capitalize on the similarity. It is perched on a high hill with a long uphill climb (for seniors) and is as scenic as expected. As part of an organized tour, there was no waiting. Go for the scenery, view, and because it is a castle, but don't expect any substantial historical significance. We went there, but probably wouldn't go again (like the Winchester Mystery House in California, US, but that is another story). Now if I can get Young Frankenstein out of my head.
