We bought our tickets to visit the castle several weeks in advance. We had a lot of anticipation to visit that place, regardless of the fact that the castle has no relationship whatsoever with either Dracula or Vlad the Impaler (who was just once there as a prisoner). When purchasing the tickets, we were surprised to see that there was no way to select a date or time slot for the visit. We would have never imagined that there was such a lack of organisation for such a popular monument. 1h20 minutes queuing to get to the castle, and then, visit it in 15 minutes following a flood of tourists that could rival the amount of people you can see in a Eurodisney queue. Had I known this, I would have skipped the visit completely. Not worth it. The castle is much more beautiful from the outside than the inside. Just get there if you whish to see it from the outside, take a couple of pictures and leave. Not worth the money or the time invested in visiting it from the inside. In the website they were offering fast track tickets, but it was hard to imagine that the queue would almost last 1h30m… even so, with fast track tickets, you wouldn’t still be able to visit the castle without such a flood of tourists. Save your time and money.

Nice castle (on the small side), well documented without being over documented. BUT the site displays textually "Be aware availabilities goes fast" which suggests that the visitors are limited. That is obviously not the case or the limit is not what in should be. From start to end of the visit you literally walk on each others toes. Being a castle enthusiast I've visited a few in several countries at different seasons. This was unseen to me. A shame!
