I wish someone would have told me to skip this. It was so packed wall to wall people you couldn’t move freely stop for one minute as it was just a steady stream of people pushing through. Claustrophobic and horrible. A classic case of how over tourism destroys

Disappointing experience Our visit to Bran Castle was quite disappointing. There is absolutely no organization to control the flow of visitors – everyone is crammed inside like “sardines,” making it impossible to enjoy the tour. You can hardly look around because of the constant crowding and pushing. The castle itself and the exhibitions are rather simple and don’t live up to the hype. The only part worth seeing is the exterior – perched dramatically on the rock, the castle looks impressive, and the royal gardens at its base are lovely for a walk. Another major downside is the ticketing system – there are no timed entry slots, not even a fixed day printed on the tickets, which results in huge queues at the entrance. Overall, it’s a place worth viewing from the outside only. We would not visit again.
