This can be a whole day activity if you wanted it to be. The castle is about 115 lei. I didnt buy early but it would be worth it. The lines were short. You could pay for the torture room extra and even a guide. Parking can be rough. Like all tourists places, the earlier the better. English is fairly common enough to make purchases by most of the vendors. My Romanian is non existent. Then you have a ton of extra stuff to check out. A medieval knight fighting ring. Commoner stuff all around with reenactors dress head to toe. There was a local live band around the food booths. Food was local stuff and well priced. It was some odd stuff but also good.

Honestly nothing special, unless you love history and know about the past of this region. Inside is almost empty and there is nothing to really look at. It was extremely crowded, couldn’t even walk freely. Don’t get me wrong it is nice but is absolutely nothing special, even more basic than your average European castle. If you are coming with the tour bus, this one I recommend not going inside.
