Bran Castle (often marketed as “Dracula’s Castle”) is nothing but a tourist trap. The entrance fee is way too high for what you get – a crowded walk through mostly empty rooms with very little historical value. The “Dracula” story is just clever marketing.Everything feels set up to cash in on the Dracula legend rather than offer a genuine cultural or historical experience. They also charge you extra for the torture room and the elevator. The elevator is a waste of money. If you truly want to see a Romanian castle that’s worth your time and money, go to Peleș Castle. It’s breathtaking, rich in history, and honestly puts Bran to shame.

For me, it was one of the highlights of my trip to Brasov, and I recommend anyone visiting the area to include it in their itinerary.
