It’s a multi-level castle fortress structure, built directly on the rock (or rather, the mountain slope) is truly remarkable, especially considering it was constructed in the 14th century. I was also surprised by the large number of heating stoves — far more than in most castles. Even though they no longer work, it was easy to imagine how cozy life might have been here during the dark Middle Ages. It’s a bit of a pity that the place is mainly promoted as Dracula’s Castle. Perhaps it would be better to create or recreate a separate site actually connected to Vlad Țepeș and his story.
