We visited Bran Castle as part of a small bus tour departing from Bucharest, which also included stops at Peleș Castle and Brașov. Unlike at Peleș, our tour guide was not permitted to accompany us inside Bran Castle. This was unfortunate, as I felt that having a guide would have brought the experience to life and added more historical context. I believe there is an option to book a guided tour within the castle itself, but due to time constraints, this wasn’t possible for us. The castle itself was fine, though a little underwhelming. Some of the Dracula-themed and horror-style props felt rather childish and detracted from the historical atmosphere. The torture exhibition was quite interesting, but it wasn’t made clear how it actually related to the history of the castle. Overall, while Bran Castle is a famous landmark, it wouldn’t make my list of top recommendations if your time in Romania is limited. There are more impressive and historically engaging sites to prioritise.

Buy the ticket from their official website. I really recommend you to buy the additional "torture room" ticket, its really worth it. The most enjoyable room was that room for us. The castles corridors are very narrow and it can be difficult to look around with lots of people around. Overall, my husband liked the bran castle more, and I liked the peleş castle more :)

We didn’t get inside the castle, it was too expensive and according to other reviews we thought that it’s not worth it. The castle is beautiful and we loved the stores just next to the entrance, lots of beautiful souvenirs and few dining options, very nice. A parking near by for 8 Lei per hour. The site was pretty crowded but still we enjoyed our visit.
