The castle itself is an amazing piece of history and I immensely enjoyed the opportunity to experience it. However, there was huge emphasis on myth and 20th century pop cultural significance, and a relative paucity of actual history. Many rooms were dominated by video screens, including one room showing mainly clips from various Dracula movies. Crowds were also a bummer. The castle was packed with about as many people as they could fit into it, and there's no real direction of traffic in a lot of places, so getting from one place to another often required elbowing through thick knots of traffic, dodging backpacks and selfie sticks. We were also sold the premium fast ticket to skip the line, and when we arrived at the castle we found there was no line (we were some of the first to arrive for the day) and we had just wasted a bunch of money for nothing. I thought maybe there would be another line at some point, or any additional benefit to the premium ticket, but nope.
