Beautiful castle from the outside, but unfortunately very disappointing overall. Waiting times were 30–60+ minutes even on a weekday, and the booking system was terrible with heavily overbooked time slots. Inside, there were so many people that it was impossible to move around freely and enjoy the castle.

Some rooms are very evocatively furnished and contribute to the mysterious atmosphere for which Bran is famous. Of course, there's a reference to the legend of Dracula, which is probably why so many people know this place. Although the connection to the character of Dracula is largely rooted in legend and popular imagination, visiting with this curiosity in mind makes the experience even more enjoyable. The view from the castle's windows and vantage points is also beautiful, with the surrounding green landscape and mountains. It's definitely one of those places worth stopping just to take a few photos and enjoy the view. The area around the castle is quite touristy, with numerous shops, stalls, and bars to stop at after your visit. I recommend spending a few hours in the area, not just stopping at the castle entrance. Overall, it was a pleasant and certainly different visit. You don't have to be a history buff to appreciate it: the architecture, location, atmosphere, and especially the legend of Dracula make Bran Castle an interesting and unique stop. If you're visiting Transylvania, I think it's definitely worth including it in your itinerary. (Original) Il Castello di Bran è sicuramente uno dei luoghi più particolari e suggestivi da visitare durante un viaggio in Romania. La sua posizione, arroccato sulla roccia e circondato dalle montagne della Transilvania, lo rende davvero scenografico già dall’esterno. Anche il percorso per arrivare al castello è piacevole e permette di immergersi completamente nell’atmosfera del luogo. La visita è stata molto interessante soprattutto per l’ambiente che si respira all’interno. Il castello è caratterizzato da tante stanze, piccoli corridoi, scale strette e passaggi che rendono il percorso abbastanza curioso e mai completamente scontato. Alcuni ambienti sono arredati in modo molto suggestivo e contribuiscono a creare quella particolare atmosfera misteriosa per cui Bran è famoso. Ovviamente non può mancare il riferimento alla leggenda di Dracula, che è probabilmente il motivo per cui moltissime persone conoscono questo posto. Anche se il legame con il personaggio di Dracula è in gran parte legato alla leggenda e all'immaginario popolare, visitarlo con questa curiosità in mente rende l’esperienza ancora più divertente. Molto bella anche la vista che si può ammirare dalle finestre e dai punti panoramici del castello, con il paesaggio verde e le montagne intorno. È sicuramente uno di quei posti in cui vale la pena fermarsi anche solo per scattare qualche foto e godersi il panorama. La zona intorno al castello è abbastanza turistica, con numerosi negozi, bancarelle e locali dove fermarsi dopo la visita. Consiglio di dedicare qualche ora alla zona, senza limitarsi solamente all’ingresso del castello. Nel complesso, è stata una visita piacevole e sicuramente diversa dal solito. Non è necessario essere appassionati di storia per apprezzarlo: l’architettura, la posizione, l’atmosfera e soprattutto la leggenda di Dracula rendono il Castello di Bran una tappa interessante e particolare. Se si visita la Transilvania, secondo me vale assolutamente la pena inserirlo nel proprio itinerario.
