Crowds wander through Bran Castle, and just below the castle itself there's a village with stalls selling souvenirs. I assume the castle isn't struggling with funding (though I don't know the exact situation). A few rooms showed what the castle looked like, but others were dedicated to themes of vampires, werewolves, Vlad himself, impaling people, and so on. Unfortunately, these rooms looked very shoddy. It's a shame they didn't hire a special effects specialist to create the sets, because I felt a bit like I was in a cheap haunted house, rather than a historical castle with a cool story. Literally, climbing one of the towers, squeezing through a narrow corridor and crowds of people, leads to a chamber containing a coffin made of planks and LED candles—that's it. There's nothing else in this chamber. Many people who went on the tour with us left disappointed. The chamber containing torture instruments, while interesting, unfortunately requires an additional fee. The historical village beneath the castle didn't offer much either. A place with untapped potential, it looks like a tourist trap. There are more interesting places to visit in Romania, and it's worth spending your time and money elsewhere. Szkoda, że nie zatrudniono do realizacji dekoracji jakiegoś specjalisty od efektów specjalnych, bo trochę się czułam jak w tanim domu strachu, a nie w historycznym zamku z fajną historią. Dosłownie wejście na jedną z wież przeciskając się przez ciasny korytarz i tłumy ludzi, prowadzi do komnaty, w której jest trumna zbita z desek i świeczki ledowe koniec. Nic więcej w tej komnacie nie ma. Wiele osób, które jechało z nami na wycieczkę wychodziło rozczarowanych z tego zamku.
