You pay the entrance fee… and then once inside it turns into a menu of extra charges. Want to see the tunnel? Pay extra. Want to see the torture museum? Pay extra. So apparently the basic ticket gets you… the hallway version of Dracula. 🎟️💸 And the actual Dracula connection? A coffin. A random vampire prop tucked in a corner. That’s about it. It feels less like the castle of the Prince of Darkness and more like a seasonal Halloween aisle. 🧛‍♂️🪦 The castle itself is fine. Not ugly. Not breathtaking. Just… fine. When you’ve seen other castles in Romania, this one feels like a very well-marketed souvenir shop with stairs. The entire town runs on the Dracula brand. Tourist prices, tourist traps, tourist energy. You don’t feel immersed in history — you feel processed. 🐄💸 Is it terrible? No. Is it wildly overrated and overpriced? Absolutely. ⭐ 1 out of 5 bats 🦇 (the one star is for the view — Dracula never showed up) Take a picture from the outside. Save your money. Romania has far better and more authentic places to explore.

I cannot understand those bad reviews. You know such places are tourist traps. What do you expect? We went there on a Monday when it only opened at 12noon. We were 2 adults and 4 kids; waited 10min to get in and had a blast in there. Absolutely worth it. Climb up the hill opposite to get a good photo 🤭
