This place was absolutely wonderful!!! Full of history and mystery. Was very well put together with very helpful members of the staff. Very physical to visit lots and steps but worth the effort!! Some very narrow stairwells and platforms not for the faint of heart. The castle exhibits were very simple but very effective. If I had to complain about anything it was incredibly busy. Our trip was timed just nicely as we didnt queue at all to get into the castle but when we were in there is was a touch difficult to get to the exhibit literature and once we reached the roof there was a bit of a wait to get to the next section. But that is the only thing I could complain about. The market at the foot of the castle was lovely lots of different stalls and handmade goods. With a fantastic selection of locally made hot foods, cured meats and cheeses. The smells were amazing.
