Quite small but very informative and incredibly beautiful definitely worth going. The torture rooms were the best I've ever seen with a wide variety of implements and information.

I booked the Guided Royal Tour, which included the Torture Exhibition (a collection of torture instruments) and the Time Tunnel. The idea is to drive straight down the castle at the end, avoiding the crowds of people descending the mountain. During the descent, they play terrible videos *yawn*, and at the bottom, there's an overpriced, cheap Chinese museum shop. The guided tour started on time, and we were given priority entry; but that was about it. It was supposed to last an hour, but only because the castle is so cramped. Guided and unguided groups mingled chaotically, and we tried to follow the narration and stay with our group. Don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful castle, just not designed for these kinds of crowds. I don't even want to imagine what it's like there on weekends. An attempt to do justice to Dracula: three dimly lit rooms, barely any light, a wooden coffin, and boring films. Even a haunted house at a fair is more exciting. Although some of the characters today were quite frightening. So, if you absolutely want to see the castle's interior, arrive early—no guided tours! Zu unserer Rundreise durch Rumänien, durfte natürlich nicht die Burg Bran, alias Draculas Burg, fehlen. Ich hatte die Guided Royal Tour, inkl. Tortur Exihibition (Sammlung von Folterwerkzeugen) und des Time Tunnels gebucht. Hier fährt man die Burg am Ende direkt runter, also ohne mit Menschenmassen den Berg abzusteigen. Während der Abfahrt laufen schlechte Videos *gähn*, am Ende wartete dann noch ein überteuerter billig, China Museumsshop. Die geführte Tour begann pünktlich, wir wurden bevorzugt in die Burg eingelassen; dass wars dann aber auch. Dauern sollte sie ne Stunde, aber auch nur, weil es in der Burg sehr beengt zu geht. Geführte und ungeführte vermischten sich irgendwie chaotisch und man versuchte den Erzählungen irgendwie zu folgen und bei der Gruppe zu bleiben. Nicht falsch verstehen, es ist eine hübsche Burg, nur nicht für diese Menschenmassen ausgelegt. Ich möchte nicht wissen, was am Wochenende dort los ist. Der Versuch Dracula gerecht zu werden, drei Räume düster verpackt, kaum Licht, ein Holzsarg und langweilige Filme. Da ist jede Geisterbahn auf dem Rummel spannender. Wobei einige Gestalten heute waren auch zum Fürchten. Wer also unbedingt die Burg von innen sehen möchte, früh dasein, keine Führung! Ansonsten ist der Blick von draußen vollkommen ausreichend.
