We had a wonderful day on the Blue Mountains hop-on hop-off bus with our driver, Angus. His commentary was engaging and relaxed, and he made us feel very comfortable throughout the day. My daughter and I hopped off at Leura and Katoomba Cascades and loved how easy and enjoyable the whole experience was. A great way to see the Blue Mountains — highly recommended.

I didn’t find the bus worth the money and used the public buses instead of the pass I bought. One driver drove by me even though I was standing at the stop.

While I could have easily driven to the locations visited by the Explorer bus, I chose to book this tour to get the benefit of the local knowledge and humour of the drivers. Allan did not disappoint. I thoroughly enjoyed his commentary. I recommend this tour.

I cannot recommend a day on the Blue Mountains Explorer bus enough! This was our second time using the hop on and off pass. It just makes seeing the sights of Katoomba and Leura so easy, stress free and enjoyable. All the drivers are knowledgeable and friendly. As are the staff who greet you in the office. We will definitely be back for a day of sightseeing and adventuring on the big red bus again soon!

Angus the singing bus driver hahaha was so funny and enjoyable even on a foggy day with no views. All the bus drivers over the 3 days we where there where awesome full of information and made the trip enjoyable

I would recommend you get the first bus at 9:15am. This is the only trip that takes you on a short loop of the area, and then takes you on the full trip, where you can hop on and hop off all day. Boarding the early bus also gives you lots of time to plan your day ahead, walking, hiking, Scenic World. Our bus guide Angus, was very informative and funny too. He gave a great history tour of the area and at each stop we made. The route was well planned and the guidebook was very easy to follow and well detailed. We were lucky with the weather, a clear sunny day. Scenic world was good. Fantastic views, but a bit disappointed as the journey times on all 3 rides was around 2 minutes each. Having said that, you could go on them as many times as you wanted. If you have an issue with steps though, beware. I had a walking stick and one of the rides was only accessible via steps and lots of them.

Sehr gut! Es wäre allerdings ausgesprochen hilfreich gewesen, im Vorfeld zu wissen, dass das Ticket drei Tage lang gültig war. Wenn man wirklich nur einen Tag Zeit hat, ist es etwas "unglücklich", dass man erst am ersten Gültigkeitstag die umfangreiche (und sehr hilfreiche) Broschüre erhält, die gleichzeit als Ticket dient. Denn die Möglichkeiten sind vielfältig und eine sinnvolle Planung wäre damit im Vorfeld möglich gewesen. So musste man ziemlich ad hoc entscheiden, was man machen möchte (und an einem Tag machen kann). Zufällig waren wir zwei Tage in Katoomba und so konnten wir die Sache etwas entspannter angehen. An zwei Tagen kann man das Ticket sehr schön nutzen.

Fabulous time on the bus. Get off and on anytime was great. With 3 kids who enjoyed Angus singing and telling the stories of the places we passed.
