Fun hike up the hill
Enjoyable hike up the hill to the Griffith observatory. Harder than I thought it would be since the hill is pretty steep. But I was able to keep up & so was my 13-year old son. Took about 2 hours & was about 4 miles. Views were good but it was very foggy that day. You may want to check the weather before booking. Was a small group & our tour guide took good care of us. Bring water. We didn’t bother going into the observatory because it had a long line, the weather was foggy so the telescopes wouldn’t see much & we were exhausted.

Tour of the Hollywood Sign and Griffith Park Hike
My family went on the Hollywood sign hike in Griffith Park with Mark and it was amazing. Mark was so knowledgeable about Hollywood and LA and told us all about the sights that we were seeing. He even had pictures and photos to provide us background information for all that we were seeing. Mark made sure that the pace was good for me and for my family as we traveled along the path. Going on the hike was a great experience, but it never would have been the same without a guide as knowledgeable as Mark.

Mark is a knowledgeable and polite guide. He has a story/fun facts around where we are hiking and kept us occupied not only by the beautiful nature but the deep history of Griffifth Park. In addition, he is a good photographer. I truly enjoyed the hike.

Totally worth it!
It was such a fun experience! It was just three people on the hike in total and our tour guide Michael made the entire hike very enjoyable! He took some great pictures and videos too! Totally worth it.

Don't think about it, do it.
We recently decided to skip the usual family Christmas dramas and booked an overseas holiday instead. We opted for the Go City Pass, which included a 90-minute hike as one of the options. Upon reaching the meeting point, we could have easily snapped a photo of the Hollywood Sign and moved on. However, we waited, and Noelle arrived right on time. We were the only two in her group, so we ended up with a private guided hike. Noelle's passion for her job was evident as she shared a wealth of knowledge and interesting tidbits. She was also more than happy to answer any questions and chat about life in general. The hike itself was a mix of gravel and paved road with a gentle incline, so it wasn't exactly like climbing Mt. Everest, but you might get your shoes a bit dusty. We affectionately dubbed Noelle "Megacunt" (a term of endearment in New Zealand) and thoroughly enjoyed our time with her. If you have the chance, definitely request her by name.

Awesome experience with an incredible, funny and very friendly tour guide Sarah. The best photos in Hollywood and lots of tips for what and where to go in LA. Recommend it for anyone who is happy with a light walk, great views of all of LA!
