Fun Informative Cruise in Seattle
Took the locks cruise on a beautiful September morning from Seattle Waterfront to the Ballard section of Seattle! The narrator was so well versed on the area: the sights, the boats, the locks, the houseboats, the sea planes! We learned so much and saw places you can only see from the water! The ship was nice and clean with a great staff !

Our group from the Port Ludlow Yacht club had a fabulous day aboard the Salish Explorer. Great weather with our excellent tour guide, who is a marine biologist with a wide knowledge of everything we were seeing and the wildlife here. Sitting on the top deck in the sun made this really special. If you're in Seattle, do an Argosy Harbor or Locks tour. They are outstanding!

Seattle from the Water
We did this ferry tour on our last day in Seattle. Although we did a few land-based tours, this one gave us additional information on the port itself and its interworkings. We learned about the history of the port and how it's used today, but Kurt also talked about the land-based things you could see from the harbor as well, and there were tidbits that we hadn't learned anywhere else, like the history of the first Seattle newspaper and the Expedia building. We had a gorgeous day for the tour and really enjoyed being up top on the highest outdoor deck while on the water. Would definitely recommend.

Relaxing and informative ~1 hr loop around the Seattle harbor from Pier 54. Beautiful day, clear, could see Mt. Ranier clearly.

We did the Locks tour and it was awesome. Comfortable seating, pleasant staff, everything ran on time. My only suggestion would be for about 50% less talking from the tour guide, or perhaps an area on the boat where there are no loud speakers for those who just want to observe and not get detailed history lessons and personal anecdotes from the guide. The guide was awesome, it was just too much narrative.

Muffled Presentation
The microphone was awful. It was impossible to understand the guide. We caught every third word. We moved to the front 3 rows and were better able to understand her, but not perfectly clear. PS - the weather was exceptionally clear!!!!

Perfect weather made this experience even better! Highly recommend taking this trip. Enjoyed every moment of what there was to see, along with a great commentary.

The cruise was great. It was a birthday present from my friend. The narrator gave us a lot of historical information about Seattle. She was very friendly and allowed us to ask questions. The day we went, the weather was sunny and warm. Looking out to the bay from your room is one thing but looking back at the city from the water was a whole nother view. We had a really nice time and came away with interesting little tidbits about the city.
