Seattle Locks Cruise

A great introduction to the history, house boats, floating homes and harbour frontage of Seattle. Lots of points of interest, more so on the starboard side. Going through the Ballard Locks was interesting and the Captain had great navigational skills - a super tight fit! Good to do early in your visit to get the lay of the land. Caught the streetcar to Lake Union Park for the afternoon return trip to the Harbour Front, giving us lots of time to explore the harbour area.

Very good experience. The ship was clean, the process was efficient, the crew and staff were professional and courteous and the cruise was very enjoyable. An hour was just long enough to enjoy the beautiful views of the city and surrounding areas and take some great photos. I didnt purchase any food or drinks but it looked like their were plenty of options available. If you visit Seattle this should be on your itinerary. Its touristy but hey you’re a tourist.

Absolutely stunning views of the city and surrounding mountains from the water. The guide was very knowledgeable and made it a complete experience. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful time on the Argosy cruise! The narrator was knowledgeable and charming. The loch’s were very interesting to be a part of (although I think it would be more fun to see the lock fill instead of empty. I highly recommend this tour.

It was a gorgeous day and smooth water. The problem was the tour guide did not seem to know much about Seattle or the history of the surrounding area. We probably had 10 minutes of history in the entire tour. It was very disappointing as there were multiple opportunities to discuss history, geography, interesting facts about the shoreline and city. These are the things one expects on tours. Are your tour guides given any kind of training?
